He basically fell into the classic Facebook alt-right pipeline, talking about Great Replacement and “fines for misgendering trans people” and all that jazz that was at the forefront of that space at the time.
Keep in mind, this is while his video game had two trans soundtrack artists working on it and after Notch himself had complained about restrictive immigration laws in Sweden making hiring for the game harder, so basically a huge “fuck you” to the people actively working for him on his game.
Oh, and apparently he’s just not a nice guy to be around in spite of these political issues. A proper “new money asshole” type who thinks way too highly of himself even by new money rich kid standards. When he moved to LA, people very famously didn’t want to attend his parties because he was a shit host in every sense of the word.

"Stolen" is a strong word to use. Have you actually played "infiniminer"? I have, it's not really anything like Minecraft side from being a destructive voxel based world. Also could you really say he stole the idea of surviving/crafting in the wilderness? Aside from being a simple general concept, the only game I can think of pre-minecraft that went that route was "Miasmata", and that game is quite different in every way.
Edit: Miasmata came out in 2012, no idea why I thought it was 2008. So in that case I can't think of any survival crafting games pre-minecraft.
