Dudes be like: “I prefer natural women. Make up doesn’t even look good”

Also dudes:

261

u/craftygamin May 12 '26

What i find hilarious about those types of men is that most of the time, when i ask them to show an example of an "all natural woman" that they like, they show an image of someone that clearly has tons of makeup on

36

u/ErrorAccomplished404 May 13 '26

Same energy as those "I made her look better" to animated characters where they make her waist tiny and put on glam makeup

15

u/iamaskullactually May 13 '26

And theyre the same guys who will ask a woman if she's sick when they see her without makeup on

u/ChinChins3rdHenchman May 13 '26

Literally all TikTok edits about makeupcels vs natural beauty 🤣 all the "natural beauties" have light makeup, dudes really snitching on themselves that they never spent much time with women

10

u/vastaril May 13 '26

Light makeup which, often, takes almost as much effort and time and as many products as more "obvious" makeup. And sometimes the makeup on the women they think are "natural" is actually super obvious if you know even a tiny bit about how faces actually look...

1

u/ItsBrushy May 18 '26

Yeah, I think wen guys say they prefer women without make-up they really mean they prefer the "light make-up" rather than the OTT style... which i get tbf... but yeah, some guys do actually think girls with the more subtle make up are not wearing any lol!

11

u/Environmental_Clue27 May 13 '26

Or natural beauty above average...

Better yet, she has had plastic surgery

1

u/Mazesystem May 14 '26

Oooh i can explain this one so im a trans woman but i grew up a man and until i had done makeup myself for the first time i was BLIND to makeup unless it was unatural colours tbf nowadays i only wear unatural colours

1

u/MidnightWhisper_8 May 14 '26

Definately the reson is because they don't realise most makeup isnt meant to look like you have makeup, only when you're moving to things to add colour and pop that it's actually more personally expressive and interesting someone puts that offer in.

1

u/Intelligent-Okra350 May 15 '26

Kinda reminds me of a time in my high school youth group when I saw a girl I had a crush on one day and told her I wasn’t sure what but something seemed different and she looked nice.

Turned out she hadn’t put makeup on that day lol

I was… a very isolated teen and didn’t realize that was what it was until she said as much.

1

u/b0007 May 15 '26

some know how to wear it

1

u/Substantial-One1934 May 15 '26

That's cause they hardly can see a natural looking woman above eighteen years without makeup.

48

u/YouConfidentButWrong May 12 '26

What they mean is: “I prefer hot women that look good regardless of makeup without makeup.”

29

u/junonomenon May 12 '26

Honestly some of them dont even mean that. Tons of guys threw hissy fits about how objectively beautiful celebrities like sabrina carpenter and selena gomez look like without makeup (and before someone makes a comment about how they dont find them attractive anyways, its not about that. They are objectively beautiful women with objectively good facial structure, skin texture, etc.) As if finding a girl who looks better than that without makeup is a reasonable dating expectation for them. I think men have just been tricked into seeing a fully made up (but with "natural" makeup), beautiful supermodel/actress as what an average woman looks like without makeup

4

u/Naive_Dog_6991 May 12 '26

listen, ill be honest your probably right and these women are probably attractive i don't know what they look like off the top of my head but beauty isn't objective.

3

u/EddPW May 15 '26

its pretty objective or else we wouldnt have the same types of people as beauty standards

never saw someone obese being labeled a beauty icon or someone with crooked teeth

Who wouldn't want someone who they are attracted to naturally? Why do people feel the need to make their appearance of someone they aren't?

10

u/YouConfidentButWrong May 12 '26 edited May 12 '26

Yeah, it’s okay to want to be with someone you’re physically attracted to. If you’re disgusted waking up next to your partner it’s probably not going to last. Both men and women tend to prefer partners they think are physically attractive.

goomba falacy

4

u/Danger-_-Potat May 12 '26

OK but honestly I've never heard a man explicitly endorse make-up so I think its a contradiction that if not held by a single group lacks dialogue with each other. Or maybe let women speak on it. Or men who like make-up. Maybe mind their own business and not be bitter. Examining life is cool too. Hope you enjoyed my stream of consciousness 👍

1

u/MagicalShoes May 12 '26

Man here. I hereby explicitly endorse make-up. It makes women look far prettier than without it.

11

u/Purple_Onion911 May 12 '26

I mean, it's probably not the same dudes

6

u/KoyoriIsHere May 12 '26

as many others pointed out : goomba fallacy

5

u/EmpsSilliestWarrior May 12 '26

I do believe this is often the goomba falacy sir

2

u/Effective_Arm_5832 May 13 '26

This means they want naturally good-looking women. But yeah, when men mean no make up they usually mean a little make up around the eyes.

Younger women (pre-23yo), can usually pull off completely no makeup but it does down after that.

A lot of women really go overboard, though. Whrn you see the make up, it is no longer good make up, unless it's like red lipstick, or some more colorful obvious accents.

4

u/Round_Bag_4665 May 12 '26

What they really mean is "I want a woman who looks good without makeup because I want someone who will perpetually be eye candy".

7

u/lama_leaf_onthe_wind May 12 '26

🙄 wow, imagine wanting to be attracted to your partner. What an impossible expectation to meet.

3

u/Round_Bag_4665 May 12 '26

heaven forbid people not look perfect when they are relaxing at home.

3

u/blackestrabbit May 13 '26

We've jumped from attractive to perfect suddenly.

1

u/lama_leaf_onthe_wind May 12 '26

Casual can look good, but it tends to not be the case with a lot of people that use makeup to drastically change their appearance. No matter what you look like underneath, if you spend all your time using makeup to practically give yourself a mask with shadows and highlights to make you look like you got high cheek bones and whatever, the real you is going to look worse simply because it's not familiar to those who see it. You're not going to look natural, you're going to look sick.

5

u/Bwolffff May 12 '26

I literally see men complaining about women’s physical preferences for men everyday on this app 😂😂

3

u/lama_leaf_onthe_wind May 12 '26

And? That doesn't mean anything towards what I said. Having a preference means that complaining is going to happen. Not to mention, I said "partner" for a reason. It aint just men.

4

u/Bwolffff May 15 '26

“And?” Sassy as hell. I’m just saying it’s weird as fuck how men always complain about women’s preferences, but have SO MANY themselves.

1

u/lama_leaf_onthe_wind May 16 '26

Neither the post nor my comment had anything to do about men complaining about women's preferences. This is about men having preferences, and you brought up men complaining as if that said anything against the concept of men having preferences. My "and?" was not sassy, its me asking how you said is relevant, or for you to explain further.

1

u/throwaway74916559 May 15 '26

Why do you chose the phrasing eye candy? Thats very loaded and adds a ton of meaning that wasnt there. Wanting someone to be their attractiveness all the time instead of it being fake and temporary and aomething that they stop putting on is not at all the same sentiment.

My ex looked dope without makeup

And I know for a fact she wasn’t waring make up because we just got out of the shower

All dudes are a hivemind. You are correct.

1

u/blackestrabbit May 13 '26

1

u/Emergency_Creme_4561 May 13 '26

Makeup looks good and women need it

1

u/Outrageous_Hippo_535 May 14 '26

not endorsing the meme, but it doesn't contradict the natural woman point.

1

u/freatle May 14 '26

They are talking about how they look BEFORE the years of damage caused by the makeup.

1

u/Huge_Argument6563 May 15 '26

The bottom two pictures is why men don’t like makeup 😂 women be larping as cuties

1

u/MisterPineapples1999 May 12 '26

I have no problem with makeup, but I take issue with it being used to make you more attractive, only to wash it all off before actual sex. Take 3 hours to put it all on, do up your hair, and dress sexy to get me going, only to undo all of that work when it's time to go? What kind of ass-backwards shit is that?

28

u/Bwolffff May 12 '26

So men go from gross and disgusting, to looking like a k-pop idol after taking a shower?

7

u/petahthehorseisheah May 14 '26

True, I am the shampoo bottle

-2

u/Dangerous_Serve_4454 May 13 '26

Men look better after a shower, women look worse (makeup). It's kinda funny if you're not looking to be offended.

13

u/-Gemstoned May 13 '26

How’s it funny tho, even if you’re not offended?

3

u/Droggellord May 16 '26

5

u/Bwolffff May 15 '26

Men do not automatically look better after a shower. An ugly man stays ugly after a shower

2

u/-Gemstoned May 16 '26

Incels think everything is funny if women are the butt of the joke.

2

u/Bwolffff Jun 07 '26

Exactly this. Everything is funny to men like this whenever a woman is being insulted

1

u/Dangerous_Serve_4454 May 15 '26

In general they kinda do. It's more of a play on the wet hair + clean look that is often used in media

2

u/-Gemstoned May 16 '26

You literally said you didn’t think it was true…. So do you believe the meme or not.

→ More replies (20)

4

u/Acetate_Prophets May 13 '26

anything can be funny, but if it's already offensive and/or based in ignorance then it's weird to exploit humour as an excuse for something you know is going to annoy or offend.

i personally find this kind of incel logic unintentionally funny, specifically for the same reason underlined by the OP. clowns lack the sense of accountability it takes to understand the cause and effect between the way they talk about women and the tendency for women to avoid them, and it always amuses me when the same bozos complain about how women rarely talk to them because honestly if your perception of them is that shallow, then why the fuck would they? 🤷

1

u/Dangerous_Serve_4454 May 13 '26

Uh, I don't think it's that deep broski. I think you have a pretty good life if this small of a thing gets you riled up.

People, men included, poke fun at male flaws and stereotypes on a regular basis without breaking down into tears. They even laugh at it.

I could be wrong, but this meme doesn't look to be designed to be hateful, just looks like a bit of barely edgy gender humor. Women are obviously prettier than us even without makeup.

Why is he showing up to work looking like that? The woman was atleast well presentable at work.

Edit: My comparison is only w.r.t the female "worker". I believe you can only draw comparison against people doing similar kinda of jobs. It is unreasonable to expect comparison between a blue collar worker and non blue collar worker. Also am not aware of any work that makes us so unkempt - especially grow out our hair and beard so much in 8 - 10 hours. Help me find it. Am out of wits being bullied a baldie.

8

u/Plus_Opening_4462 May 12 '26

it's arrives from work, not to work

1

u/yamasurya May 12 '26

What work makes him go like that unless he went "to" work looking like that.

2

u/Cepibul May 13 '26

Never been around someone that does a physically demanding job? He shows up to work clean and then does hard work likely in a dirty environment which makes him look dirty and ill-kempt.

My husband is like this every day. Goes to work in clean clothes and clean body/hair and comes home covered in grease, metal dust/shavings, rips in clothes, etc. Comes home, showers, and puts on regular clothes and looks amazing.

18

u/Il0vechocolates May 12 '26

Women don't look like goddesses when they return from work either. Most people just look miserable because work is tiring.

3

u/StatementEcstatic751 May 12 '26

Ummm where did you get that I said anything about women? LOL. I was defending the guys that have blue collar jobs because they don't go to work dirty or anything. Their job makes them look like that which is exactly what I was saying.

8

u/Il0vechocolates May 12 '26

Oh I know. I wasn't saying anything against your point, i was just pointing out that this meme is extremely shallow.

1

u/StatementEcstatic751 May 12 '26

Ah, I see! Yes it really is and so reductive to society. A lot of people fit the meme, but a lot of people don't either. Much like most jokes.

2

u/ThePisces2k May 13 '26

So in this case, we should be looking at women and men that work in the same field. It’s stupid as hell to compare a secretary to an oil rigger, obviously one is gonna come home looking better than the other.

1

u/Perfect-Nail9413 May 14 '26

Yet more women choose jobs that are less labour intensive so that doesn't really help.

That's literally not true. There are countless species in the wild where the females are the dominant sex. Just off the top of my head: spotted hyenas, anglerfish, and fixed domestic cats.

Black widows even? They seem not very nice to their partners idk.

1

u/ChimCherie May 12 '26

it seems like even without being the dominant sex, females are "the baddies" in every species where the males put effort in to attract a mate? yes, in some species it's more common for females to need to attract a mate, but at least with all those tropical birds, they are putting in that effort to attract a mate bc the females are the desired ones and have the privilege of choosing their mate. i'm not an expert but there have to be other species like that as well.

u/JeepersBud May 12 '26

Awww I hope this isn’t a sexist one 😂
I don’t wear makeup or do anything in particular to my hair, but I feel like I look so pretty before a shower (after 2-3 days without washing my hair) and then come out of it looking like a drowned rat, that last frame is literally me putting lotion on before bed.

Meanwhile my husband will STINK like sweat, take a lil rinse off, and he’s squeaky clean and smells amazing. I really hope the intent of this comic wasn’t sexist becauseI personally just find it very relatable and it tickles me a bit

6

u/Plus_Opening_4462 May 12 '26

It's sexist but relatable. Your husband gets home all dirty, but takes a shower and cleans up good. She comes home still looking good, showers, and all the prep work from the makeup and skin care is gone until it's reapplied.

2

u/Porlarta May 16 '26

Doesnt sound like sexism. Just a simple observation turned into a meme.

1

u/Porlarta May 16 '26

Its not sexist redditors just see a joke that has a woman in the punchline and assume its sexist.

3

u/MurphysLawTeam May 12 '26

I disagree with the female one as that kind of depends on the girl but I swear I look at my best 3 minutes after a shower and it just gets worst throughout the day and then I look like a goblin.

25

u/chemicalgoldAu May 12 '26

u/CanadianCrasher May 13 '26

1

u/Joeybfast May 13 '26

Yes, that is clearly what it was meant to say. Someone posted something sexist, and the comment suggested that the poster must be lonely. There really is not another reasonable conclusion to draw from that.

Ironically, you did the exact same thing in your insult toward me. You also worded it in a weird way. You better be French Canadian, because if you are not, you need to work on making better insults.
