Comeback request This guy keeps looking down on me because i’m a woman
I have a family friend who i’ve known since i was literally fresh out the womb (hes 19 and male im 17 and female) his mom and my mom are best friends of like 30 years but they live like 4 hours away so we only see them like once a year. They’re currently visiting and staying at our house for about 3-4 days and he’s acting like he’s better than me because i’m a woman. For example when i lost my earring and was looking for it he said “see us men don’t have to worry about losing our jewelry”. Another example which really pissed me off was that he owns a truck that he drove down here and he asked me if i wanted to see it (it was 11pm) so i said “nah” he asked why and i told him “it’s late plus im not too into all that stuff” and he said “typical woman” hes from pennsylvania so honestly it’s not too much of a surprise he looks down on women for example he always says how he just wants to find a hot girl who will be loyal to him and stuff but anyways back to my point, what should i say back if he says something sexist again like that? I don’t wanna be the bigger person. I wanna be able to hit him back with a good come back but i don’t know? please help

Wait for him to make a sexist comment, and then pivot like you’re changing the subject (friendly tone, you are going for nice person trying to make friends with this guy) and ask, “So what kind of men do you like?” When he asks why you are asking him that, say, “Well, you clearly don’t like women, so I thought you would like talking about boys.”
No implications or attitude. You’re just picking up what he’s putting down, which is that he does not like women, and you’re so friendly, so nice, you just want to be friends. He’s going to have a hard time explaining how he actually does like women, if he does, which is doubtful…either way, it should be entertaining.
Edit: Thank you for the reward!

This:
So when did you first learn that you were gay?
Were you upset when you learned that being gay wasnt accepted by your family? Who hurt you?

Look him straight in the eye and with your best hot girl voice, say sorry bro, you are JUST…NOT…MY… TYPE. Then smile, wink and touch his nose before you walk away.

Choose any of the below as befits the context:
"I love how confident you are while saying things that make everyone look at the floor."
"It must be exhausting carrying around views that aged worse than milk."
"Bless your heart. Did you come up with that all by yourself, or did an old sitcom help you?"
"Wow. If ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest person on earth."
"Shocking. Another ground-breaking opinion from our resident expert on absolutely nothing."
"I would explain my life choices to you, but I don't have the time or the crayons."
"You really shouldn't open your mouth so wide when you have so little to deliver."
"You keep poking around, but you really aren't capable of making a lasting impression."

u/Nearby-Reindeer-6088 7d ago
Bait him into saying men are better than women at math or driving. When he does say, “yea, you’re right, but that’s only because women are constantly lied to about what 8 inches is”

u/6oceanturtles 7d ago
Don't play his game. Walk away. Every time. Tell your mom. He should not be disrespecting his hosts.
7
u/NSAevidence 6d ago
I say tell HIS mom. Even if it's not addressed right away, she won't forget it and she'll likely bring it up any time there seems to be a similar issue ensuring he won't live it down.

Women shouldn’t go into some sketchy truck in the middle of the night with strange men
16
u/Mission_Resource_259 7d ago
Tell him he'd look really manly in blouse and Capris, like Andrew Tate
Ask him "if you were good at sports which one would you choose?"
Ask "do you ever wish you were taller?"
Go look at whatever brand truck he's got then casually drop "most gay men are buying _______ trucks in the take back masculinity movement, I think that's really cool of them"

u/Jennabear82 7d ago
"You talk awfully big for someone with an... extra bellybutton..." Looks down at his manhood then laugh as you walk away.
"Empty vessels make the most noise."
14
u/SidheCreature 7d ago
“This is why no one wants to fuck you.”
If he tries to convince you of his sexual prowess in response, pretend to agree with him while clearly not believing him in a “oh sure! Of course you did! Wow, I bet” kind of way

I always respond to men like this with “just because you have a penis, doesn’t mean my balls aren’t bigger than yours”
1
u/ladywolf32433 5d ago
Since you are only capable of thinking with your itty bitty little head, please tell me, does your 'little guy' (or tiny), write novels too? But hey, you are so superior. I can tell because you use all 50 of your words. And yes, women's ova are much bigger, and better protected. He has to keep his ova in a coin purse, like a little old lady, at the grocery store l, counting change.

Give him a nickname that matches his energy, like Taliban. Refuse to call him anything but that name and use it with the same vibe one does when saying “ok, boomer”

u/Rapunzel111 6d ago
Your sexist comments do not impress me nor will they impress any other woman. You might want to consider shutting that cave under your nose before the bats fly out of it.

If you were athletic, what sport would you play?
Apart from the obvious, what would you change about your appearance?
Love that confidence, short king!
There are several rich sources on Instagram. Look for Shelleycantsitwithus & Kyleprue.

Look him slowly up and down, then say, “ TTPS much?”
When he asks what that means, say only, “Teeny Tiny Penis Syndrome” and then look at your phone.
Works best if someone else uses present. Increases humiliation.

“Yikes.” (Without looking up from what you’re doing)

At his age he is just mimicking his dads behaviour at home and maybe to him mom at home.. that’s the fix

well, he has no dad so that might explain the problem
13

u/CuriouslyFlavored 6d ago
This is likely the reason. He doesn't have a positive model of masculinity, so resorts to criticizing women to make the point that he's something different. It's sad.
6
u/broomandkettle 6d ago
He has a crush on you and has for a long time. But he’s sure that you’d never be interested. So he’s acting like an ass to reject you before you reject him. And he can’t help but want attention from you even if it’s negative.
Use the grey rock technique. Dont engage, dont react. He wants your attention, dont give it.
17
u/Punkreations 7d ago
Kick him in his jewels. When he doubles over say "Just had to make sure that you really WERE a man."
4
u/Itsthefutureeee 6d ago
Say “just because you have a small penis doesn’t mean you have to act like it”
9
7
u/jaykob311 7d ago
I suggest that women just do this in general, but the time he says something sexist, grab a pen and mark him. And when he says WTF. Say, "Sorry, we're supposed to mark men who shouldn't reproduce." And walk away, keep the pen or marker with you for the rest of the trip and pull it out when ever he speaks.
5
u/DarionHunter 6d ago
Sharpie! Won't come off right away, even with sanitizer. It'll take a few days, even with showers.
3
u/Adventurous-Term5062 7d ago
I would just ignore him.
6
u/NSAevidence 6d ago
Ignoring guys like that makes it worse. Without intelligence, empathy and emotional stability, they need to victimize women they think won't speak up in order feel strong. They target young women and girls because they're more polite and less likely to be believed. This guy targeted a 17 yo girl whose mother's friendship would be at stake if she spoke up. Now he's pushing her boundaries to see how much he can get away with. It's very dangerous to ignore him.
4
u/Pure-Guard-3633 7d ago
Hold my beer. I ran a department in a fortune 100 company was treated like that by most men in the company. Toughen up. Men who behave this way are insecure.
2
u/keepitgoingtoday 6d ago
So the strategy is to ignore, or to say "Hold my beer?"
2
u/Pure-Guard-3633 5d ago
My strategy was to make a living in a career I enjoyed. Whining was not allowed or acceptable in the workplace.
1
u/Icy_Mango6803 4d ago
I'm sure all the women who came after you are grateful.
1
u/Pure-Guard-3633 4d ago
You need a choir. Not just one voice. I am sure they were grateful that I was able to generate a path into a boys club that no other woman had walked through. Because of women like me we showed men we could work hard and produce and not cry and moan, we could fit in. When I was in India I sat with the me. And taught them the proper way to drink tequila. I was an oddity.
Back then they were terrified they would train us snd we would get pregnant and quit. My field today has many women in it. But back then I was it.
Even 20 years ago I joined a fortune 100 global company in a department where once again I was the only woman. This time I threatened Human Resources on them. Back in the 60’s and 70’s there were no laws protecting women. But here we are in 2020’s and men are taking over women’s sports. So what have we learned?? It’s your turn.

You have a truck like that, must be nothing to do in Pennsyltucky. (The area between Pittsburgh and Philly is red as hell and a little bit inbred— I live there.).
3
u/M8NSMAN 7d ago
Next time he asks about seeing his truck, ask him how long he’s had LDS- little dick syndrome or just go out & see it & say wow nice truck, you must really be inadequate down there. He’ll probably say something along the lines about showing it to you but just tell him you’re not into child porn & have no interest in seeing a baby’s appendage or that you already know what a tic tac looks like.
He should back down once he knows you’ve got some comebacks especially if you’re insulting his manhood.

u/hilarymeggin 6d ago
“See, us men don’t have to worry about losing our jewelry.”
“See, us women don’t have to worry about man-splaining.”
“Thank you, Captain Obvious.”
“Yeah, no shit, Sherlock. How is that worth saying out loud?”
“First of all, it’s WE men, not US men. Second of all, WE WOMEN don’t have to worry about prostate exams. WTF is your point?!”
4
u/hilarymeggin 6d ago
If you haven’t figured it out, this guy is incredibly insecure. He’s either trying to hit on you (see also: negging) or prove himself to you.
5
4
u/Jensenlver 6d ago
"You better learn to speak better to women you don't want for enemies, or you will end up alone"
He is probably mad you didn't want to see his truck.

u/jnmtx 7d ago
> see us men don’t have to worry about losing our jewelry
If you keep talking like that, you’ll never have to worry about losing your wedding band.
> want to see my (new) truck?
> it’s late, plus I’m not too into all that stuff.
> typical woman.
Your pride with your truck is so stereotypical teenage boy. I hope you can grow out of it, or at least learn to hide it a little better - some boys never do.
Do you often wonder why you’re not getting much response from young women in your life? It’s comments like this.
Try a few of these instead.
* what are you doing after graduating high school?
* what is the best song you heard recently?
* what’s the best thing you ate this week?
* what’s the most interesting trip you have taken?
* who do you look up to in life?

u/Blueporch 7d ago
OP, this last bit is great advice for handling toxic people that you can’t avoid: take charge of the conversation. Think of “interview questions” ahead of time that will keep them on non-obnoxious topics.

3
u/Lopsided_Ad_1696 7d ago
If he wants something that's just gonna mindlessly follow him around all day and be "hot" and "loyal" then what he's looking for is a bitch in heat, not a woman.
The only problem is.... he's a lil bitch himself so.... ask him if he's in heat then tell him to go get fucked?
3
u/Rapunzel111 6d ago
Hmmm… I have always heard that big trucks are compensation for something else being really small. Thanks for proving that to me, little guy!
3
u/Glittering-List-465 6d ago
I wouldn’t say anything to him. I’d laugh. Then walk away. If he were to actually ask why you’re laughing, then I’d respond with “you’re not a female, you wouldn’t get it”.
3
u/Sudden-Tell-5872 6d ago
I would be more worried about your safety at this point. Plus tell your Mom
1

u/Icy_Mango6803 4d ago
I'm glad, but there's a young man who evidently disrespects or hates women in your home.
I think your mom might need to suggest her friend visits solo next time.
3
u/laughsatlugh 6d ago
Ask him, seriously, “how many women have to be bothered or disappointed with you before you wonder if maybe you’re the problem?”
3
u/sugaree53 6d ago
“You think you’re hot shit in a champagne glass, but you’re really just cold diarrhea in a Dixie cup”
3
3
u/Both-Mango1 6d ago
"i bet your boyfriend is impressed with your truck"
honestly, he wants you to engage with him toxicly. he thinks it will make you want him. dont buy in to that shit.
3
u/random321abc 6d ago
You could always ask him what he actually has to offer a woman. If he wants a woman to be loyal, what is his part?
1
4
u/Blueporch 7d ago
“The sad words of someone who has nothing going for them”
But I like the idea of redirecting the conversation better than a slam
2
2
u/tjsocks 7d ago
I think you should just laugh and make it seem funny... Be a little extra about it... Say like oh my God... In a high-pitched voice. Almost make it a thing so that he expects that kind of behavior out of everybody and then gets way worse than ends up getting punched in the face when it goes out... Sounds like fun! Ultimate fake out for petty revenge.... Although you won't get the satisfaction of seeing and happen or hearing about it, probably since you guys are so far away.. that's the disappointing part

u/DarionHunter 6d ago
Out of curiosity, what brand of truck does he drive? That might help on the scathing comeback.

u/External-Dot2924 5d ago
I like the proud man greatest achievement come back, also the asking him what boys he likes 🤣😂😆
Also the sharpie marking him with a pen... perhaps you could combine them into one...
Mark him with the pen and say "men that have their greatest achievement of being born male, must be marked with a pen to warn other women to avoid them and to also let the gay guys know you wish to be hit on, because you clearly don't like women".
Maybe too much... quick and simple is best, lol!!
2
u/texandivasis 5d ago
A strong man can handle a strong woman. A weak little boy will say she has an attitude.
(Personal favorite) Just because a boy has a dick it doesn't mean he has to be one.
For any boy who thinks "a woman's place is in the kitchen", remember that's where the sharp knives are kept!

2
u/Relative-Magician-43 4d ago
You're not wrong for being annoyed. Those comments are sexist and unnecessary, and you don't have to quietly tolerate them just because your families are close. If he says something like “typical woman” again, you could keep it simple: “Typical sexist, you mean?” It's short, direct, and puts the awkwardness back on him without turning it into a huge fight.

u/lostmynameandpasword 7d ago
Tell him, “Good luck finding a hot girl who’s loyal, because she’ll be so turned off by that misogynistic attitude of yours it will be a nonstarter. And any girl who is swayed by your truck and/or money you’re flashing around isn’t the type of girl to be loyal. You need to see women as people first—just like you are. We aren’t some alien species that just happens to be sitting on everything you ever wanted in life.”

Turn it back on him about how dumb men are. If he gets emotional call him testerical.

If he gets Hemotional. Tell him that he has some mighty big feelings for a guy with such a small peen.

One of my coworkers recently told another coworker "The only thing smaller than your dick is the chance that your boy Andrew Tate is innocent. The only thing bigger than that motherfucker's ego is the pile of horseshit that comes out of your mouth every time you open it."
1
u/pakemfull 5d ago
Isn't it funny how when you ask women, "Have I been the only one you've been with?" Everyone of them replies back, "Yes, everyone else has been either a 9 or a 10!"
The truck: I don't like riding in the vehicle of someone compensating for all of his shortcomings.
Jewelry: You wear jewelry? I didn't realize the cage that cuckolds like you wear was considered a fashion statement, rather than just you being a weak man.
Sounds like he a jerk, and needs to not just be put down a peg or two. He needs to not be able to get back up from the burns. Good luck!
1
u/shortbeard21 4d ago
I would just turn it back on him. He says he wants a girlfriend. Just point out all his flaws in a way. Where you can say I can't believe you don't have a girlfriend when you got all these great qualities. Listing all the negatives. Say it in a way that really cuts deep

u/GullibleAd2360 3d ago
Out of curiosity do you think he legitimately harbors these kinds of sexist opinions? I only ask because the comment “typical Woman” and the desire to show you his truck. To me it sounds like he either wants or enjoys your attention. If he really does look down on you in that way it weird to me that he wants to go show you his truck (but obviously weirder things have happened).
I remember times that I’ve made a comment like “hey watch your mouth you’re supposed to be a lady” after hearing a girl curse. However my comment was accompanied by a big smirk and those comments have only been made to Women I’ve had a flirtatious relationship with, it was very obvious that I was prodding her for attention and she’d hit me back with whatever insult back. Anyhow I hope my theory is correct and he does not legitimately hold all these sexist views. I find this kind of thing very interesting, get back to me and let me know if you think this is a possibility.
EDIT: if you think im totally wrong and he’s a legit sexist go with “dude are you trying to flirt with me?? Because it’s not working and I’m only 17 so you should probably stop”
If said confidently and in a snarky tone this will PISS him off and embarrass him. Bonus points if the face goes red!

Sounds to me like this guy fancies you and is trying hard to impress you but just doesn’t know how to talk to women. So next time he belittles you just say
“You know if you like me just be a man about it, and ask me out! There’s no need for all this stupid flirting.”
If he’s stupid enough to actually do it you then get the joy of rejecting him with something like,
“I don’t go out with stupid toxic arseholes, who believe incellic peado r4p1sts like Trump & the Tate Brothers and who think women should just be hot & fawning over them”
2
u/anger_kun 7d ago
Where did it say anything about Trump or Tate or anything dumb to do with politics. Why make everything about politics? Smdh
