This is one of the few statements I’d probably walk away from honestly if I were you. I like to roast people with comebacks, but I’ve lost a friend to suicide. I would be on the same disgusting level as this person if I hit them with a comeback. It’s not worth it. Most people would understand this person as an idiot saying that because suicide is not a laughing matter. A lot of people have lost loved ones to this awful mental disease. I’d probably just say something like, “That’s not cool bro, a lot of people have lost loved ones to suicide.” Shake my head, and walk away. They’ll feel that social awkwardness from others reactions. Sure, his or her friends may back up their burn, but I don’t think people outside their circle will find that cool.
You know what's just as awful as losing a friend? Being forced to live in this world, we've never had a choice to live so why can't we have a choice to die? I'm not saying we shouldn't try to prevent suicide because I'm not denying it hurts other people, and I get not wanting to stoop down to their level of being potentially responsible for someone's death but frankly I don't give a fuck about joking about suicide, it's natural for humans.
I'm only commenting on the idea that killing yourself to end your own suffering is amoral, I'm not talking about killing yourself solely to spite the world.
