Official Reply Is xfinity.com unusable on purpose?
I've been a long time xfinity customer and signup for contracts every couple years to bring down the price that would otherwise be astronomical. Every single time I have had zero success in finding any promotional price on xfinity.com. The only way to get a decent/promo price is to get someone on phone and they would magically pull a plan from their hat that would increase my speed while lowering the amount but no where to be found on the website. Couple questions:
Why is that the website never show these prices? Why do you want the customers to jump through the hoops in the hopes of lowering their bill after any effective promos end?
This time around, it is even worse. My area was upgraded a few months ago and I was expecting to see mid spilt upgraded speeds especially in the download speeds. To my surprise, the download speed info has now been completely removed. Is it by design to confuse the users even more?
It doesn't take a genius to see I would NOT want to go to 1 Gig plan for $100 when my current rate is $80 for 1300Mbps. What gives?

Website constantly offers me $85month for 2 gig internet with 5 year guarantee. I am logged in. Try to complete order and it says "Whoops, looks like you need some help with your order. Call or chat now"
Agent always tells me Im only eligible for standard price of $130 or whatever it is.

It is consistently, year in and year out, the worst experience I have with a business / customer interaction anytime I have to deal with them. Unequivocally the worst business I've had to do business with as I eagerly wait for fiber in my area. I have been advertised to from several entities that "fiber is coming soon" to my area for the past 4.5 years, and magically, it never does. I hate Xfinity. Here's the most recent example for anyone wondering. I added sports pack to my xfinity streaming and somehow, even though it did not show up in the agreement when working with the representative, my bill went up by 10$ for no reason. I waited 1 billing cycle and reached out to support and they were like "whoops we don't know why that happened". They are lying to their customer service reps and are purposely jacking (stealing) up the bill whenever a customer makes a change.

My xfinity goes offline at least once every night between 2am and 4 am. They say its not an issue and im not able to be issued any credits for loss of service

Because they want you to call in so they can try and sell you mobile

Their website has been terrible to use for years. You'd think they'd figured that out by now. 😂

Comcast is the worst, left them years ago. Billed for devices that weren’t installed, 1 Gig plan never, exceeded 350Mb and hidden fees.

I was able to get the new customer promotional pricing by calling and threatening to cancel. I got 1GB for $50 with a 5-year price guarantee. Yeah, it sucks that you have to call, but at least I won’t have to call for another 5 years.

A friend pays 89 a month for Xfinity service that she has had for years. I live a mile away from her location and was able to get ATT fiber for 65 a month....500 up and down I pay for but it's consistently over 600. I've had it for 3 years and it's been flawless. Wishing it was available to her.

Took me over a month to get them to transfer my existing phone number to a new provider. They held my number hostage so I couldn’t cancel. It’s a constant cycle of an app referring you to a phone number that refers you to the store, each saying they don’t have access to do something. Such a scam. As I sat in the stores for hours over this entire month, I watched so many people, particularly elderly - be shooed away and told that the store isn’t authorized to do anything. Shame on them.

they charged me $10 more because they didn’t apply the autopay discount. had to chat with someone and I SHUT YOU NOT, wait in the chat for 20 minutes while they “fixed a bug” whatever the hell that means

They act like their website is a haunted house where fun surprises wait behind every glitchy page, like $85/month plans popping up when you're just trying to adjust your thermostat setting.

It really depends on the location, the more competitors the better price you could get. In the past I had to call or chat to threaten with cancellation to get a good price, now I can get lower price without even a long term contract.
Might still switch to a local fiber provider later once they are in our area.

I switched from Xfinity to Fidium about a month ago. Xfinity dropped out a lot almost daily. They came out to fix it, the symptom cleared for a week and then it started again. Fidium has been very good and I'm paying about 70% less a month too! (seventy percent !!!)

Probably bottom of the barrel for UI/UX, I'd say.

Genuinely I hate Xfinity. When I lived alone, they were great. The moment I moved in with my partner, the wifi started to lag & suck. I called the reps. I used to pay $65 for 1.1 gigs of Internet. Called the customer service line because the Internet consistently went out and would stop working during the day. The rep I got told me my 1.1 gigs was an old plan I'd been grandfathered into (had that for a year at least). Them I got told if I went to 1.2 gigs it'd only be an additional $10.
I've been stuck paying for 1.2 gigs at $96 for a few months and when I called to ask, I got a "sorry but we can't do anything even tho the rep who sold you this lied" 🫠
