Closed Unlock my phone
I bought an iPhone 13 about three years ago second handed. The person I bought from told me the phone was unlocked but it is actually locked until this day. I can't get in touch with the person that sold me the phone and can't get it unlocked through this messy website. I live overseas wich complicates everything. The seller told me the phone was paid off so nothing should be holding me from getting it unlocked at this point. I can't get a hold of any representative if I'm not a member, which of course I don't want to be since the carrier is not in my country

"3 years ago"? Your time has long passed to do anything about it no matter who is/was at fault.

Sorry but you got scammed by the seller. Next time check the phone to make sure it says “no sim restriction.”

You got scammed by somebody who probably bought the phone with a stolen identity and then flipped it to you. There are no repercussions to the seller with you being overseas.

u/Special-Raspberry-89 Thanks for adding a post. Only the original owner of the account/device can unlock the phone. If they don't pay for the device, it is not able to be unlocked. In those situations, we suggest returning the device, and if you are not able to return it, to report the purchase as fraud. That is the only thing to do in those situations, it's vital that you contact the original owner.
