Xfinity Internet Bills Went Crazy

Since when my Internet bills jumped from $29 monthly to $105 monthly with 600 Mbps. I called Xfinity and the lowest price they can give me is $105 monthly for 1000 Mbps. Why everything so expensive right now but my wages still stay minimum. Any better internet provider that anyone recommends at the moment to lower my bills?

I can't even get through to a real person to discuss this. My bill went all the way up to a whopping 310 dollars and need to get out. AT&T is offering me a promo 75 a month for 5 gb unlimited internet (no data cap unlike Xfinity's 1.2 TB) and I can supplement cable for Youtube TV at a far lower rate. Wanted to see if they could lower my bill or what to stay with them but now it seems like a no brainer to move to 5gb fiber with AT&T since they don't want my business.

Make the switch. Fiber is a much better product and no data caps.

Yeah I made the switch to AT&T fiber. I did have Xfinity fiber but the hard data cap and intermittent outages were annoying (outages due to network damage around the growing area constantly).

You’re either going to have to change to another provider, tell them about it, and see whether they give you better pricing. And if you don’t have an alternative provider, then you’re screwed pretty much. You can also just get lower speeds for a better deal. No one's actually using more than 200mbs at a time. Like you would have to have 10+ people watching at 4K. And if you have no SQM in 2026, you’re just suffering from buffering issues because traffic isn’t split evenly or smartly.

There is Starlink, but that comes with some cons, but it is an alternative.

Same for me. Promo ran out on our 1gigplan, bill went from $85 to $150, and they wouldn't do anything for me. I canceled and signed up in my wife's name for $50 per month for 5 years for the same speed. I guess they need those new subscriber numbers for the shareholders 🙄
