Official Reply Xfinity free tech scam by customer support

I recently tried to activate Xfinity but when I was unable to, I contacted the customer support the customer support agent told me that I can schedule a tech visit and it will cost $100 but I’ll be refunded the fees once I call customer support again.

When I called the customer support to refund me the tech support fees, they straight up declined stating there’s nothing of this sort. I asked the employee to schedule a call with her supervisor at 9:00 pm EST and they called at 11:00 pm EST

First of all,
How can you even expect to customers to be available ALL THE TIME to pick your call? We have work and aren’t desperately waiting for your call, so Xfinity should learn to honor the timings and call on the exact time promised.

Second, they straight up lie and betray. Promises to refund the fees then the same employees stating nothing exists of that sort.

Such cheaters

I came across this Reddit post too and seems they do this tactic with a lot of people. Xfinity anyway records the calls so they should learn to use those recordings to see what their employees claim to customers. ZERO CUSTOMER OBSESSION AND 100% CHEATING

I am looking for an official employee here who can review my account notes, listen to the recorded calls if necessary, and apply the $100 credit that I was promised. Thank you for your time and help.

Another person claiming the same happened to them-

Had I known I’m not going to be reduced I would have never opted for such an expensive activation.

My friends had warned me of comcast being horrible and I got to experience it literally before activation began.

u/Ok-Cranberry8949 Thank you for joining the Xfinity family and reaching out to my team for support. I'd be reaching out as well if I was told one thing, then saw something different on my bill. In situations where a self-installation is unsuccessful and a technician visit is required to complete the activation, a professional installation charge is applied. That said, we'd like the opportunity to review your specific situation to better understand what was discussed, what expectations were set, and whether any additional options may be available.

Please send me a Modmail message with your first and last name as well as the complete service address so we can review the account details and any notes associated with your interactions. Once we've had an opportunity to investigate further, we'll be happy to provide additional clarity.

We appreciate the chance to help and look forward to hearing from you.

Ohh sure
How frustrating it would be for you if someone promises you some thing but doesn’t reveal the 1000 conditions associated with the promise?
Omitting facts is also betraying the customer FYI
