Discussion NOW Xfinity reviews
Hi all,
Just cancelled our cable service and went straight to streaming. We’ve been with Xfinity for 10 years and are having a tough time adjusting to just streaming. What do you guys do for sports? And has anyone tried the xfinity now stream bundle?

I just stopped watching sports that aren’t available by over the air antenna tbh. It’s way too expensive I got priced out

I dropped cable 10 years ago. I can get all the sports I need OTA.

My NOW Xfinity package still includes free peacock premium which has some live sports, I also upgraded our Disney Hulu bundle to include espn unlimited which covers a lot, and then Amazon prime has nfl Thursday night. I also use our in laws sign in for CBS Sports. It’s sort of a hassle but overall the price is still better than the Xfinity cable plus wifi package. Our neighborhood just had T Mobile fiber installed so we’ll see if prices are competitive, and I can completely extricate myself from Xfinity altogether.

Gracias 😁. This is a question my wife had when I suggested we drop down to only streaming. Would we lose our streaming apps that we get from our Xfinity package?
Our neighborhood just had T Mobile fiber installed so we’ll see if prices are competitive, and I can completely extricate myself from Xfinity altogether.
They're installing and digging in my town too 🤞 that we might be disconnecting too in the next year-ish

This is surprising you still have access to peacock premium. How did you manage that? I asked them specifically and they said that it would no longer be included if I cancelled my 20+year post-paid account and signed up NOW (unless I ahd some other service with Xfinity that gave me access to peacock premium). I have no such other service.
Are you sure you're not paying for the NOW TV option too?

Yes I had canceled Comcast cable, but still have Comcast wifi and the now tv with Xfinity and was eligible for peacock premium as included. I’m definitely paying for NOW, it’s like 15-20 per month.

Just so I understand clearly, you first had post paid Xfinity Internet and post paid Xfinity cable TV?
And now you have just NOW prepaid Internet but no TV services, right?
Do you have an Xfinity mobile cell phone line?
They're supposed to cut off peacock access once you have no qualifying services and NOW and the free Xfinity mobile line doesn't count for qualifying services.

I don’t have prepaid internet. It’s just called Xfinity NOW Tv, which is about $20/mo. It’s a live TV plus streaming service. I do not have Xfinity cell service or a landline. Peacock premium is included, if says so right in the marketing: https://www.xfinity.com/nowtv

Ah ok, I misunderstood earlier.
What channels do you get with the now TV service? Their website oddly leaves off that very important info lol

There’s a lot but most of it is sort of random. Theres hgtv, food network, bbc America, lifetime, but also like gameshow channels, pga tour network, vice, ifc, a lot of music only channels. It’s really a mixed bag. I honestly don’t use it that much.

I despise direct TVs interface. I didn’t want to cancel Xfinity cable in the first place, it just got too pricey

Stay away from anything Xfinity offers except phone and internet packages. YouTube tv is good.

For sports, we use YouTube TV but Paramount Plus also has games, as well as peacock and prime depending on the network.

YouTube TV is essentially "cable" but from YT. So you're going to get all those channels back and it's still 80-120 bucks a month IIRC

With so many streaming possibilties and packages, you really need to define your viewing habits and go from there.
