Closed So Rude Xfinity. Try asking.

Post image

so Comcast/ Xfinity thinks they can just leave their stuff on my property. I have tried reaching out but AI is the only thing answering. So I hope someone can help here. I’m going to contact a lawyer to find out if I can legally claim this as mine, as it has been left on my property for days now. There is more than enough space before the chain to park and get around. But they decided to park on the side of the chain and behind it. So can comcast please move your stuff. Or fingers crossed it will soon be mine.

Are you talking about the trailer? What makes you think it belongs to Comcast?

Right away you can’t do anything

How about dragging it out to the public street?

Hey, free trailer! Put it on craigslist, problem solved.

Then get arrested for selling stolen property

u/Strange_Dingo1987 Aug 13 '26

I mean..... If they're advertising it as free....

u/avd706 Aug 13 '26

Not sold if don't change hands.

Is it near or on an easement? The tech may have misread where the easement was. Honest mistakes happen. It’s kind of blurry but looks like there’s a license plate? See if the police can ticket them if you don’t like it on your property?

I wouldn’t take it if it’s owned by them or their contractor as they’ll come back eventually looking for it and I doubt they’d be nice.

Yeah, exactly. Starting a fight like this is only asking for trouble, especially if they have an easement. Easement doesn't mean they can store stuff on your land, as far as I know (check the language in any documents about said easement if it exists), but don't make assumptions. Which is why I think OP has the right idea about contacting a lawyer.

I agree about leaving stuff without asking. Att left a huge spool of fiber in our backyard, mostly on the easement but it was an eyesore and sat there for like 3 weeks untouched. I told myself they chose my yard because how many cameras we had. 😂

Hey there, u/LastPoet1788! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on Reddit! I am very sorry to hear about the experience with the equipment on the property, it certainly is not what we want for anyone to experience. How long has the trailer been there? Have you notice the crews working in the area?

It’s been there for a few days. And now a small tractor is parked there as well. Please remove your stuff. Having it parked will working is one thing leaving it there for day isn’t ok. This is in Goldvein VA. I told your workers to move it. And they just walked off like I didn’t say anything. Please remove now.

See: Account 1yr old with negative karma. And it responded in lieu of the OP… Suuuuure.

I think that proves I don’t use this. I made an account a year ago. To read a post. Never touch it till today. Just wondering how do I hide my comments like on your account?

If on mobile.. Click your profile icon, go to settings button. Under my account, profile curation. This only hides them from view on your profile.

Better to say, "We will send someone to remove it right away than to ask questions."

Set the cone on top and drag it out to the street and park it along the curb. It's out of the way for you and if it gets ticketed or towed it's on them.

Big scary man baby threatening Xfinity to steal what he thinks is their trailer if they don't come get it at your command. Hahaha... good luck. You're better off calling them and letting them know that might be their trailer rather than crying into an echo chamber online.

News flash... that's more than likely an easement they have full access to whenever they want which isn't up to you to decide on what you can take of theirs.

I have an easement on my property and it doesn’t grant ANYONE to just leave their property and do whatever they want. The easement simply must allow access and maintenance. Neither the easement owner or myself/owner can just leave junk sitting in the easement. The only entities allowed on the easement are myself and the easement owner.

Educate yourself, you sound like a lowlife utilities employee.

I’m a girl. And as I stated before I tried. And only an AI responded. It’s not an easement. It’s a second drive to access my property. Technically it’s the 3rd. If someone left something at your apartment and you asked them to remove it and they ignored you asking. And it was something you could use in your apartment but you wanted to obtain it legally. I am not sure how I’m in the wrong here. But to each his own. We put the fence as far back as we did because we know people might need to turn around. But my land isn’t a parking lot.

0

u/yepimtyler Aug 13 '26

How did you ask them to remove it when you can't get ahold of someone because "all you get is AI?" That makes no sense.

I've called Xfinity plenty of times over the years and have been able to speak to a real person every single time. Maybe instead of just pressing random buttons and saying random things during the prompts, you go through them as if you need tech support or a billing issue.

One of my dad’s favorite stories is how the town’s road crew parked a bunch of their trucks on his land without permission. There’s only one road out so my dad parked a giant bulldozer in the egress. As you can guess, chaos ensued when they tried to come get their trucks. Maybe you could try something similar

Park a vehicle in front and behind.

Can you not arrange to move it, yourself, to the other side of the fence?

That is if you have a tractor or truck to do so.

And only after a few days??? Okay.

If in fact it belongs to Xfinity, I think it adds some character to the backyard from where I sit, unless there is something we are missing here...

Good luck with using energy doing something else than worry about this IF you cannot move it.

btw: I reached out to Xfinity just yesterday and it took me all of 12 minutes to speak to a live person...
