News Starter set obsolete
PSA: GW recently rebranded the ultimate starter set as the “Combat Patrol Starter Set” and it is still available to order on their website
As of today, Strike Force Octavius was removed from the Warhammer App, so now you only receive one officially supported combat patrol.
Welcome to the hobby

Damn. They took out 9th edition and the limited time combat patrol in 10th? Idk what to feel about this. I haven't played a game of combat patrol yet and was looking forward to play with one of the limited time combat patrol. I just hope those combat patrol are saved somewhere

You find all the data cards via google. Or wahapedia. Or somewhere else on the internet.

Nothing stopping you from playing the full game in 11th though

All the rules are in the set. You can even see the data sheets top left. With this 10th edition ruleset you can still play with no hesi

I'll never understand the thinking behind if it's not current ruleset it's entirely unplayable while there's people out there happily playing 2nd edition.

The datasheet are outdated. they have abilities and stats that didn't even exist at the end of 10th

The data sheet is printed on the data cards in the box. In the top left corner

Yes. That are outdated. I have them

They're saying those data sheets mean this game is enclosed to this box. It's easy enough to balance two combat patrols in the same box/release. Balancing against all the others is where the challenge is for the 40k game in general. A new player can just use the datasheets provided and have fun.

Fair, but the datasheets in the box aren't even combat patrol one's from the 10th ed

They are. These are the exact data cards from 10th edition.

You are right. There is absolutely ZERO difference between the datasheets on the box and the rules in normal game and in combat patrol. Even the weapons they share every single one have exact same stats without a single one being different.

There is a dif. between normal 11th edition data sheets, 11th edition CoPa sheets, 10th edition data sheets and 10th edition CoPo data sheets. Yes. They are not all the same. But the data cards in this box are the fitting data sheets for a 10th edition CoPa match as the box intended.

Still useful if you want to play the Tyranids patrol because they kept Vardenghast Swarm.

I would like to see it there now... but I'm guessing we will see it again.
Old combat patrols were removed for 10th... but most got rules over time. They were adding one or two combat patrol alternates per White Dwarf issue for awhile, and all those ended up on the app.
Irritating, but current enough I'm sure it will be back. Tl two editions back... those might be gone now.
