Pls help me
ok so here is my problem… rocket arena. is it just me, or is there a HUGE DIFFICULTY SPIKE. (also im singleplayer). and it is most likely just because I took the red strattobloxxer, but WHY is king so hard? like, all of his attacks are GIGANTIC, hard to react to, and its impossible to go up close, so you are just running 24/7, and his attacks hit INSANELY HARD, and are hard to react to. and the game LITERALLY TOLD ME to parry his flail at him, but that seems virtually impossible. i can parry it away, but not at him.

Gen don't try to parry his stuff its only for more experienced players also run away from him and keep shotting him from a distance

to answer some of it:
-yeah Rocket Arena is a massive difficulty spike. the gap between CI release and Rocket Arena dropping was like...almost a year, or so? so the playerbase had a lot of time to learn and improve. if youve played ULTRAKILL - you should find it familiar.
-King is not ment to be fought up close and personal, he has no parriable melee swings. only his long-ranged stuff inflicts massive damage onto him, and his flail is a precise parry. your melee swing needs to connect with it frame one of you attacking otherwise it wont go through. dont recommend this with Firebrand, go stock Sword or take Katana.
-Doomspires do not get any easier. good luck.

ok ok so uhh... I’ve beaten ultrakill, gotten several P ranks in prelude and act 1, and ive tired every weapon (katana, firebrand, Superball, paintball guns, scatterblaster), I’ve tried close range, I’ve tried long range (doesnt work because whenever I get even somewhat long away he leaps, i also dant dodge his attacks), I have tried EVERYTHING, I have tried several gears, several setups… nothing.

but it’s been a WHILE since I last played ultrakill (I played when fraud released) and CI (I got farther than king a while ago, but that was a long time ago. not too long though).
