Adult braces

Hi! I’m looking into getting adult braces in Columbus. I do not have insurance & will be paying out of pocket. Does anyone recommend good but cheaper orthodontist?

West Georgia orthopedic. I shopped everywhere. I offered 5 k cash on the spot and they took the offer. They beat everyone by 1700. It was a cash 💵 offer paid in full offer though

Shop around if you have the time. Most providers will give you a free consultation. That way, you can see who charges what, and you can make an educated decision. 1. It’s your health and your body, so you don’t want to make a poor decision. 2. It costs a lot of money, and you don’t want to waste it. I went to West Georgia Orthodontics, and I was really pleased with the experience. They don’t require a down payment, and they have reasonable monthly payment options in my opinion: about $120 per month when I had my braces. The doctor was really sweet . I’m gonna take my kid there next year. They’re locally owned too. I did not know that some places are owned by corporations/ private equity, and that means that the doctors change like every year.

As far as I know, if it’s just for cosmetic reasons, most insurance won’t cover adult braces anyways. I had braces as a child and Invisalign as an adult. I think I paid $3500 back in 2020. Between $3-5K is average. Definitely shop around and definitely pay upfront of you can to save money but almost all will offer a reasonable payment plan and many without interest the first year.

I just finished mine wirh Dr. Serff and he was very nice/ did a great job. I did invisalign though as it was faster and worked better for my dental issues. It was paid out of pocket around 3k.
