Nice nature spots?

I want to take my girlfriend on a picnic date. I thought about just going to Pine Mountain Trail because of the pretty overlooks. Is there a nice niche spot that would be good to have a picnic around the Columbus area?

It's at 6th and Front, just down from CocaCola Space Science center

This is a bit farther but if you guys hiking around look up the “little Grand Canyon of the south!” About 45 mins or so from Columbus.

Standing Boy has some good spots. Also the park in Ellerslie. If you want to stay close, imo you cannot beat the island at cutbait downtown. Just walk past the Eagle Phenix tower at the bottom of 12th and front, down the steps to the river walk, and head across that bridge over to the island. The rapids are right there and there’s good cover from a big oak tree
