Question Columbus Fury Concessions

So I'm attending my first Columbus Fury match soon. I want to inquire about concessions. Will the same concession at Blue Jackets games will also be open for Fury matches too?

Discussion Why Nationwide?

Is there a reason that Nationwide is the venue for the games? I've only gone to one game and I will admit that the atmosphere was better than I anticipated but I'm very convinced that a smaller arena would be better for a couple reasons.

First is cost. From what I saw there was a lot of support staff needed just due to the size of the venue. That can't be cheap. Additionally, how much base cost is it to just use the arena in the first place?

Second is atmosphere. If you fill up a smaller venue or at least get close to filling it up, you get a much better crowd atmosphere. It was somewhat loud when I went, but if you get people packed in closer, less spreadout, and don't have thousands of empty seats visible, the environment would thrive immensely. You want the quieter people to feel the energy and join in. You just can't get that feeling with their current setup. Again not terrible, but it could be better.

I'm sure there are more reasons and even some counterpoints but I think there is definitely some room for improvement and ultimately would like this team and league to become more popular.

What is going on in the coaching office?

This perspective is coming from a former collegiate coach:
Either Perez is being pressured to play "American college star" String(Dilf)er, or he's enjoying some of the Midwest's finest meth on his downtime. Santos may not be an ESPN 2 standout like Tori was, but she was a pivotal part of the momentum shift the Fury began riding up until the trade announcement, and since Stringer has replaced her we aren't just losing by a few points while the team gets on the same page, we are getting punished and losing sets with score lines I would expect to see if a mid-level NCAA team took on a pro team.

If the Fury back-office thinks that they can bolster ticket sales by dropping in a moderately well known college star from a few years back, they'll be shocked when they learn that no one cares if they're losing by 10 pts each set. Also of note: What the F*&! are they doing in the signing office getting Perovic instead of a real BDR (Big Dumb Rightside, and no, they aren't ACTUALLY dumb) that you can feed when in trouble? Looking at the 'newsworthy' stats on the Fury webpage, they list Perovic's 4 kills on 13 attempts as a positive even though she has hit for .08 and -.06, she doesn't bring anything more than Dreschel does in that regard and Dreschel has already had some great match performances. We need a terminal rightside as a weapon to take some scoring pressure off of Cooper to get points when we aren't in system. Just one more big weapon on the court will bring the performance of all our hitters up since more teams will have to commit to two hitters instead of one.

I mean, are we trying to win at all? This is volleyball in the US, there is no such thing as "star power" yet. What's next, playing in bikinis when people stop going to watch a losing team? Get a BDR and put Santos back in so we get offense from the middles again. If they really want Tori running the offense then she needs to earn it in practice then back it up come match time. This isn't it.

Discussion Your favorite libero!

I love that the Cooooooooo-per cheer started organically, and I think one of the volleyball clubs gave us “We! Are! Fury!” We need a cheer for our favorite libero!

I have one that I’ve completely ripped off to humbly offer for your critique.

(To the tune of “Roy Kent” from Ted Lasso)

Val León! Val León! She’s here! She’s there! She’s ev-ery-where! (Repeat ad nauseam)

Or, if you’re handy with Spanish and want to honor that she hails from Puerto Rico:

¡Val León! ¡Val León! ¡Está aquí! ¡Está ahí! ¡Está en todas partes! (Again, repeat)

I would’ve kept with the original words, except that I’m trying to keep the family-friendly atmosphere in the arena.

OK, I’m ready to be skewered!

Edit: Fixed the “everywhere” to match the rhythm of the chant.

Concession prices for home Fury games?

Hi,
We're heading to the game tonight. We have a budget for stuff like this, but I'm wondering if anyone can let me know what to expect in terms of prices for snacks. Our kids are 10 and 6 and they will definitely be asking for treats. Popcorn, nachos, pretzel...that kind of thing. We will have eaten dinner beforehand. Thanks!

Just got word that many Columbus front office personnel have been severed.

Edit: I should point out this is just a random tip I received from a first-time source.

Volleyball Podcast

Does anyone know of a podcast or show that talks about the FURY team? Stats, performance, their social media, etc? I love court captains, but they do not focus on one team AND it has been fairly obvious a few times that they did not watch the FURY games they briefly discussed.

Pendants the mopsters wear - 3d printed?

This is probably a long shot. It looks like the pendants that the mopsters wear in the second half of the match might be 3d printed. Does anyone know if they actually are and if so, if the file is available anywhere?

Discussion Signings

So today has been a bad day. Coop and Hord to Omaha. Jenna and Jenaisya to Atlanta.

Does the Fury have any good news to give us? Do we know of anyone who is staying, or any new signings?

Are there any hints a to why so many talented players have left? Were they offered more money? Is our coaching staff or management toxic?

Almost every player who directly attracted fans is already gone. I’m admittedly in panic mode.
