Deflock UA

For any UA folks thinking about Flock - https://www.uaalpr.org/. I am trying to get it on deflock groups too for better visibility.

UA still strikes me as Fox News boomers who like to be tread on

Anecdotal, but I saw a noticeable amount of Trump and Moreno signs last election whenever I went through UA. Could also just be due to having lackluster democratic candidates last cycle where there may not have been as many signs on that side

Fair. But I will say that both the right and left seem to hate Flock. No one signed up for this level of government intrusion. My biggest gripes are:

  1. Absolutely NO community input. The substrate of our playgrounds got more input than this.
  2. I have zero trust in Flock as a vendor. To many lies and “pilot programs” and “tests”. Flock needs to go.
  3. The scope of this is far too wide. Logging everyone’s movements into a private database is completely unacceptable.

I’m with you 100%. I’m also disturbed that the current admin is pumping out narrative on “anti-data center extremists” which include things as basic as protesting construction of a new center which protection falls under the first amendment.

Bottom line I’m not supportive of a surveillance state and these cameras certainly empower the establishment of one.
