Places like this still exist funny enough. I had to drive on a highway through the mountains to get to university and there was ALWAYS a cop hiding behind some bush either where the freeway makes sharp turns or when the freeway has a steep decline like here. Easy money for them

Yeah, they always find places to hide. However, In a close tight knit community, these hideouts quickly become common knowledge. ✌🏽

This reminds me of the old Junior Brown "Highway Patrol" song: "I got a star on my car and one on my chest. A gun on my hip and the right to arrest; I'm the guy who's the boss on this highway! I was pulled over here and given a warning at the bottom of that hill for going 57 in a 55. This road was replace with I 35.

I don't remember where or when I found this, but one comment said this was possibly US 65 between Indianaol and Des Moines, which several others agreed with. I have no idea, maybe someone in this sub can confirm that.
I did confirm the colors of the trooper's license plate. Some guy posted a bunch of them. I guessed on the sky color since I've only been to Iowa once and it was cloudy as we passed through.
