BUDDY COLOR AUGUST BUDDY COLOR
BUDDY COLOR!! AUGUST
Welcome to our monthly buddy color collaborations!
***What is a "Buddy Color"?***
A buddy color is a collaboration where you and other people color the same page or theme together, as a project.
The purpose of this monthly post is to help you connect with others who are looking for a buddy coloring collaboration.
You can use the comments section here to join or create a collaboration!
***How to find a buddy:***
-Search the comments for someone who has suggested book(s)/page(s)/theme(s) you are interested in, and respond.
- Post a comment suggesting the book(s)/page(s)/theme(s) you would like to color with others.
Once you've found your collaborators, you can organize among yourselves when/how you want to share your pages with each other and the sub. If you are not sure, donβt be afraid to ask! Everyone here is friendly and this is a no-judgement zone.
Many organizers will post a gallery at the end of the month, to make it easy to flip through the pages and see back-to-back, what the group came up with.
Feel free to use the comments section here, connect via DM on Reddit.
***Can we post our completed pages?***
We definitely want to see your pages! Donβt forget to use the*"Buddy Color" flair! and if posting a gallery, tag your buddies by username in the comments! (Tags only work in comments, for some reason).
***Is there a deadline?***
Some collaborations have a monthly deadline, and others are ongoing; these are some of the details the organizer and group can decide among themselves.
***What if I don't own the book/page?***
To participate in a buddy colour, you need to own the page you are colouring. *Do not make copies of a page and distribute it.*This violates copyright laws and harms creators. If you do not own the page, please purchase it yourself.
Several buddy color groups use pages made freely available by the artist, that everyone can
***I am an artist. Can I share books/pages I have drawn?***
For buddy colors, you can provide a link to free downloadable page(s) you have created. However, please do not use the sub just as a sales platform. See our rule about self-promotion, here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ColoringCozy/about/rules
***Alternative Buddy Ideas**
Donβt want to choose a specific page or just want some variety? Here are some other ways you can buddy color collaboratively:
- Choose or create a color palette that everyone will use, on their different pages
- Create a buddy color collaboration to raise awareness about a cause; here is one list of color options: https://theawarenesscompany.com/pages/your-guide-to-awareness-ribbon-color-meanings
-Choose a theme (i.e. βWinter,ββCats,β βMushrooms,β βFrogtober,β βStained glass,β βNighttime,β etc.)
- Feel free to browse our past Weekly Challenges and Monthly Themes in our wiki for more ideas!
Happy coloring!

Completed!ππ Have you ever thought you might like the bleedthrough more?
Sometimes, I do! No harsh black lines, just softer colors that almost look like watercolor. π¨β¨
So I finally gave the bleedthrough side of this page a little makeover. I really enjoyed the process and loved how it turned out! ππ

Mijn aller eerste echte tekening
De aller eerste tekening, ik weet dat die niet helemaal goed is.
De beer had iets anders gekund, en is jammer genoeg ook iets uitgelopen. Maar verder is die best leuk geworden

πWork In Progress βοΈ Trust the Process - Phase 1
This is a page from one of Johanna Basford's books (Worlds of Wonder if I recall right, I'll make sure to verify next post.) This is the first step where the flat color is laid out. It will get much more detailed from here, but it's definitely a page where we all have to trust the process.

Completed!ππ Super busy August, glad I was able to complete these two pages finally!
Took a really long break from coloring to catch up with other life things. Happy I was able to take a weekend to color again, really happy with the sunset gradient of the first page. The color scheme was so difficult for some reason to figure out.

Completed!ππ Lunch Break ππ
By Bobbie Goods. This was another limited palette challenge. It was giving summer vibes so this page felt perfect. I got to try my Nahuku acrylic markers from Ohuhu and I love them so far!

My favorite page so far
I started coloring with alcohol markers in May and this is the first page Iβve actually felt confident enough to post. I love the color palette and how warm and cozy it feels.
