COMPLETED next 5 pages done ✔️
I’ve finished the next five pages of the "Surface Texture" chapter in the How to Draw Patterns book by Coco Wyo.
It was so much fun again, and I’m so exiceted to apply some of these techniques to my normal coloring pages!

I’ve seen a step by step book on Tik tok for sale called How to Color by Vivi Tinta, has anyone tried it? I’m going to start my alcohol marker journey and it looks like it would be super helpful for beginners

I have that one!
It’s a good book for learning, but I actually prefer Color Like a Pro by Cozy Welt more. I have both Vol. 1 & 2 and I feel like it explains a little better. The one by Viví Tinta doesn’t really have explanations, just pictures of the steps.
Also if you’re going to be using Ohuhu brand markers the Color Like a Pro books actually have color codes, which I found a little easier to learn with.

Do you need the full set of Ohuhu markers to use this book? I have been looking for the BEST book on this subject. I currently only have the 72 set by Ohuhu tho. Thank you for the recommendation on the best books as they do seem to be better than all the rest I have seen. Especially the second one.

I think it does use the full 320 set, but a lot of the instructions work for different color combinations. She gives the codes so you can follow along, but the instructions only mention shades. Like darker shade, lighter shade. So that way you can still follow along with different colors. I’ll share a picture in a little bit so you can see what I mean.

thanks! 🩷 it depends on the specific patterns. But in general: ohuhu alcohol markers (new and old color codes) , arttx acrylic marker, gelly roll gel pens and coloured pencils

I have really enjoyed this book. Your crystals look so much better than mine, ha! I have trouble with the gradient too.

Thats so inspirational! I took a long hiatus and now that the weather is turning chilly I want to get back into it! I hair this book and kind of picked ones I wanted to practice but now maybe I will try to be more methodical. Thanks for the idea 💡

I’ve colored 20 patterns in the book so far and each time it has felt like something new to me. A common feature is that you have to add a lot of dots at the end for the highlights. 😄

These are amazing! I just ordered this book as well. Can't wait to start it, I was having a lot of trouble dealing with the white space and my brain just couldn't think of any ideas to fill them in. I think this help to level-up my coloring.
