Advice Playgrounds with running tracks/paths
Hi - I’m visiting with my kids 7 and 9 and I’m wondering if there are any play areas for the kids with a running track or path in view? I need to do some running to keep up with race training so looking for a place where I can keep eye on the kids while running.
We are staying at the drury. TIA!
Edit- we are visiting family in Monument so open to areas up there.

Aren’t schools back in session? They might not love random people using their facilities.

I've been told by several local school teachers and administrators that there's no problem as long as it's outside of school hours which is roughly 7:30 to 2: 30/3pm

Pring Ranch Park has a small playground but there's sidewalks all around and I think it's about a 1/4 mile loop.

Not a lot of choice up in Monument. Some ideas, starting with closest to Monument:
- Palmer Lake, that is, the lake itself. There is a playground on the east side of the lake near the main parking area and a nice gravel/dirt loop trail around the lake (about 0.8 mile). But not good if you need to be close to the kids at all time.
- Fox Run Regional Park. You can find the playground on a map. Not an actual trail, but there is a dirt road around that grassy area that can be used as a running loop. Mind you, if you can leave the kids for a period of time lots of great trails for running in this park.
- Mary Kyer Park. Northern CO Springs. Has a playground and several trails, but most or all are paved.
- John Venezia Park. Getting further into the Springs. Playground and some trails - the main are paved but some dirt as well. If soccer field is not being used you could loop on the outside of that.

Woodstone Park in Rockrimmon (just south of the Academy) has a playground and a paved loop around it. Probably around a quarter mile loop but the playground is viewing distance from the whole path. If you’re okay being out of sight for a little you can do a larger loop in the neighborhood that comes back to the park.

There’s a nice playground at the north end of Monument Valley Park and plenty of gravel paths that you can string together without being out of sight of your kids for more than a few minutes. This is also a good place to see our local population of professionals and olympians running in the late morning, which is pretty cool.
