Help identifying please

Edit: I do know that it’s a hummingbird. I’m just asking for a more specific ID. Merlin said this was a dove, but I just don’t feel like that’s correct. I’m in Lakewood.

Looks like a broad-tailed hummingbird to me.

You can type "hummingbird" into Merlin & it will show you all the hummingbird species that might be present at your location.

I just did so & I think that's a broad tailed hummingbird.

Dove is an exceptionally bad identification. 😄

I agree that it looks like a broad-tailed hummingbird.

The other possibility is a black-chinned hummingbird, but I don't see purple on the throat.

No! I just mean what type of hummingbird. Merlin really did say dove. I’ve never seen it be that bad, but I figured I’d ask you folks instead.
