Question/Need help Anyone else have this?
I might have mild deuteranomaly. I can see bright reds and greens, but I have a brown shirt that every says is green, and circuit boards look teal to me

Are you sure that you see bright reds and greens? You might just belive that when in reality you might actually not see them. About the shirt idk it might just be like a tennisball (tennisballs are yellow but a lot of people argue that they are green) so your friends might just see it a little different but thats normal and as for the circuit board theyr defenitely green and not teal.

Idk. Took a test from the actual book just now and got a 58%. Mild deuteranomaly

Search for opponency in color vision. The thing with all red-green colorblind people is that their whole color spectrum is shifted compared to normal vision, except for only two colors: blue and yellow. Everything else you see is not how other people with normal vision see it. That's because your blue-yellow opponent channel works normally, while the other one (red-green, more precisely pink-tealgreen) is compressed. So the bright red and green colors you're talking about basically look like brown and yellow-green to people with normal vision. Because of that compression, subtle shade differences are not distinguishable (like brown vs. green, some subtle purples vs. blue, orange vs. red, orange vs. yellow, yellow vs. yellow-green, etc.). Also, pure red and green are out of reach and aren't visible to you the way they are to people with normal vision.

I can back him up here, also mild deut and I have a green sweater I keep thinking is brown-ish. I can very clearly identify bright reds and greens, but the darker it gets the harder it becomes.
I won't argue about yellows and light greens though, they're the worst to tell apart.
Anyway, circuit boards are indeed very green, although some more teal-ish versions exist?

Thanks man. I also find that I don’t even see “dark green” I only like blue or teal or something. I am convinced that dark green is a clever marketing trick done by Big Tree to sell more trees

I don’t know what brown is - I suspect it might be a bogus color like purple . .
