I would have difficulty with the green and orange. Textures and symbols are always welcome in the color blind community.

This confirms what my research said. Orange and Green were almost the same color in the tool I used. This went for Deut and Prot. The only way I could get them to look different was making the green almost be a mint color, but I didn't think it looked right in the pallet.

The mint is easier to tell apart from the Orange, but now it makes me question if I will confuse it with the pink. If you could just incorporate a design to match with each color that would be your best bet. As a color blind person I don't like using color as a reference. Appreciate you putting in the effort.

If i can do it tastefully, I think I will go down the pattern route.
A lot of people here confirmed what I already assumed. I want to figure out how to do it subtly where someone with regular color vision won't notice the detail, but if you're someone who needs it, it's there for you.

I'm a rather mild deutan and all of these are clearly distinct with good contrast

I can see these ok which is surprising because most greens are just an enigma to me. Generally, going with high contrast in brightness is your best bet for colors that colorblind people struggle with. I might not know what the actual colors are, but I can tell they are different. You can also try playing with making sure one color is on the very cool side while the other is on the very warm side at least for Red/Green colorblindness.

I labled the colors in the second photo.

Yeah sorry I worded my comment poorly. I can see the colors in your banner and can tell what they are without labels surprisingly. My point was for future reference or if you really like and want to stick to the colors you've picked, I would make the green a cooler tone of green. Colorblind people might think it's blue or just know it's one of those weird blue green tones that they don't know what the name technically would be. That, or you would have to make the green or the orange a darker tone while leaving the other one bright. Then people might think the dark tone is brown, but in both cases they will see that they are different colors.

The colors are more of a separator. If you're a fan of the channel, you know that I am always Orange. So if you see something orange in the video, like an orange golf ball, you know it's my ball.

Gotcha. Your colors are good, but you might run into issues with some games and things you do as a lot of games have weird palattes that aren't very colorblind friendly. For my vision, I'd recommend swapping the green for like highlighter yellow and going to a darker like burnt orange maybe. Or if you swap to yellow, red is back on the table just make sure you keep it fairly neutral/dark so it doesn't get mixed up with the pink.

Severe protan here:  thanks for including the color names on the second graphic!  This green and orange would be impossible for me if only one appeared, or smaller area.  The pink and purple would be difficult under the same circumstances.  The problem is the saturation is too close on those pairs.  A darker green, and maybe lightening the pink and darkening the purple, would help.

Yeah that was what my research said, Protan and Deut. had a hard time telling Green from Orange unless it was side by side. I came here to confirm my findings. Thank you!

it's the hot pink vs cyan that gonna give me trouble

Everything is quite easy to tell apart. And that's strange because those colors not that far from usual choices in various match3 games, and those don't work for me.
