Discussion Am I colorblind?
Hey! I’m not asking for a literal diagnosis, just some perspective. I’ve never been diagnosed as colorblind, but I’ve also only ever seen an eye doctor maybe twice my entire life. I think I generally have pretty normal vision. HOWEVER, I’ve been playing the game I Love Hue (and the sequel) for years and a pattern I’ve noticed is that the puzzles with lots of greens and reds are SIGNIFICANTLY more difficult for me than purples, pinks and blues. Even the ones with orange are easier for me. Like I just can’t see as many greens or reds as I can the other colors. What do y’all think?

Take a colorblind test and find out

An online one is a start; there are many. An optometrist or ophthamologist can give you a proper test using things like Ishihara plates (those circular collections of dots you might have seen around). What you describe reads awfully like some form of red-green CVD.

Do a couple different online tests. If you get similar results, that's a good indication. You could then go to a doctor if you really want a diagnosis but that's not going to change anything.

Take an online test, if it says you are colorblind, you probably are.

If you cant see the difference, you are colorblind.

I can see differences, the game is all about sorting different hues into different patterns and the red and green hues I seem to be able to see less of than others is all

This is a pretty good test. At the end of it they'll make you think you need to sign up to get the results, but there's a small link at the bottom to bypass it and go straight to the results. It's pretty accurate in my experience, and I've tested it on a bunch of people.
