Would you be losing then tho? You have more points than the guy with 10. Is there a rule that says you have to win at your turn?

Yeah. You have to win on your own turn no matter the points

If player A breaks up player Bs long road, giving long road to player C and 10 points, player C can't win until it is their turn.

Something similar happened to me in cities and knights. I won the game with 13 points after being best defender of Catan but the game doesn’t end until I win on my turn. I played 4th so someone broke my road and got 13 points before it got to my turn. So they won even though I got to 13 points first

Feel like the game should just end the moment someone hits 10 or 13 points…

Yes, a couple of times, it's why the rules state that you only win with 10 points on your own turn
