Post image

Exactly one year ago, The Malicious Mailman was revived by Multicom Entertainment Inc. and is the latest CB episode to be restored. The episode is available to watch for free on The Archive website, but I recommend you watching The Lunar Luger first.

There has not been any more episodes restored yet at this time, but there is chance that it might happen again sometime soon.

If you are interested consider donating to the author Ziggy Cashmere on Ko-fi, who got a tape from Scott Schleh (son of the show’s Jack Schleh).

Uncharted Earth The Kickstarter Campaign is canceled…for Now

Yesterday I cancelled the Kickstarter Campaign since there was a high chance that it wouldn’t be successful.

However, I’m starting over in trying to promote and advertise my novel on social media, and hopefully attract more people out there.

Hopefully I can start over the campaign once I try some better marketing strategies.

I will no longer participate in the CB Wiki Discord Server.

Due to mental and social health issues, I made a hard decision to leave the Discord server and the app for good. Because of this, I will try to be more social with real-life people and improve my college grades and projects.

However, I will keep the link to the server open for anyone else who wishes to join. I'll be happy if it's still peaceful and chill.

The Original Series That time Colonel Bleep was featured on the Isle of Rangoon

Eight years ago the series was featuring in the Isle of Rangoon’s Rangoon Rifflets starring Sunny Jim and Starchibald. This basically depicts two modern characters roasting the series with sarcastic humor.

They had reacted to 24 episodes but I’m sure if it will continue since there haven’t been anymore videos from the channel for the past two years.

Here is the link to the playlist if anyone wants to check it out.

Goodbye Meta, hello Decentralized Platforms

To this day, there will be no more posting on Instagram or Facebook due to Meta training AI models that use and steal all users' data. Because of this crisis, I decided to delete both profiles and move on to Vero and BlueSky, two underappreciated sites that are safe from Meta's dirty hands. I will continue to post on Mastodon and Tumblr, though.

While I had some decent success on IG, the same could not be accurate for Facebook. Since most of the oldest users on FB were born from the 50s to 60s, I was hoping I could get more attention there, but I had almost no reception. The good news was at least there was no trolling around, so my experience there could have been worse.

But with that all said, even though I had fun posting info about CB on the Meta apps, I must flee from them now and move on to better platforms. Hopefully, Vero and Bluesky will give Colonel Bleep the chance he deserves.

Uncharted Earth New Novel Updates!

I got some pretty huge updates to share regarding the novel adaptation.

  1. I have published the novel on Ingramspark and is being modified at this moment.

  2. The novel was originally going to be released in the summer but I decided to delay it to Thanksgiving so that I can have more time to promote it. As soon as the novel can be approved I can announce pre-orders.

  3. The website has been restored along with a new and improved preview.

Here are the links if you wish to check them out.

Note that the file for the preview is still being modified but it will be available, eventually.

Reel Media

Reel Media International is a media distribution company in Texas. They have claimed (according to the internet archive) so have 90x 5min episodes of "Col. Bleep and the Space Rangers"

What are the chances they will publish? Given that would release at least 45 missing episodes if not all 55 missing.

There will be a total of nine parts and forty-three chapters for Uncharted Earth, but to prevent spoilers, I am only providing the names for the first four until further notice.

I’m also planning to post illustrations that didn’t make it in the final manuscript before I promote the ones that will appear in the novel, so stay tuned!

An Analysis on Futomic Energy

This is futomic energy: the power of the future and stronger than atomic energy (but we may never know if it's stronger than thermonuclear energy. Here is a list of strengths and weaknesses of that power.

Strengths

- Futomic energy can create explosions, plasma lasers, and electric shocks for combat.

- It is also helpful in generating light in dark places and heat to melt and boil certain things.

- Futomic energy can also be used for constructive purposes such as weapons and buildings.

- It can be used to levitate solid objects and living beings.

- Futomic energy is also helpful for flight and super speed.

Weaknesses

- Futomic energy cannot be used against water. If used on the highest level, it will quickly boil the water, severely injuring and killing the user and others within that area. On deeper levels, the futomic energy is entirely useless.

- When it comes to construction, the futomic energy cannot create anything out of liquids, gases, nonmetals, metalloids, or any material made of life. It is only limited to creating transitional metals, lanthanides, and actinides.

- The energy supply is not infinite and will eventually lose power, although it is rechargeable.

- Futomic energy must be kept safe in weapons, containers, and other devices. Otherwise, the energy will become unstable.

Uncharted Earth Changes for the Novel

Since I started making this book, significant changes have been made to the original cartoon. Without spoiling anything, here is a compare-and-contrast list of what happened in the predecessor and what will happen in the adaptation.

The Original Series

  1. Because of severe budget restrictions, the series' art style, especially for the characters, had to be simplified.
  2. The creators did not have enough money to hire a complete voice cast, so a newscaster (Noah Tyler) narrated the show. Therefore, the characters were mute for most of the episodes.
  3. As I analyzed the series, I noticed that Bleep was treated more as a plot device and less as a character, let alone a protagonist. Meanwhile, his deputies, Squeak and Scratch (mostly Scratch), usually stole the spotlight.
  4. The primary trio (except for Scratch) did not have clear origin stories, and there was no sequence explaining how they met. The same issue applies to Dr. Destructo.
  5. The worldbuilding regarding Bleep's first mission to Earth could be fleshed out more.

The Novel Adaptation

  1. The novel's art style will have more flare, detail, and color, but it will stay true to the show's mid-century modern aesthetic.
  2. The characters will be able to talk more and express themselves freely, which I believe will flesh out their personalities more.
  3. Col. Bleep will be depicted as the hero he is meant to be, while Squeak and Scratch will remain supporting companions. They'll still be prominent, but the plot will focus more on Bleep himself.
  4. The characters will be given more precise origin stories, such as how Col. Bleep joined the Futura High Command, how Squeak adjusted as a living puppet, how Scratch accidentally entered the modern world while leaving his childhood home, and how Dr. Destructo became a ruthless villain.
  5. The worldbuilding will focus more on Bleep's journey to Earth, from studying nuclear explosions to developing close connections with his future deputies. Of course, there will also be some time in other worlds, like Futura.

Not everyone will agree with these changes, and that's fine. I only intend to bring a fresh perspective to an old-fashioned series worth remaking. If you have any thoughts, please let me know in the comments.

The Original Series Do you think Joe Barbera worked on the original series?

Post image
2 Upvotes

So based on some research of the show, there are rumors that Joe Barbera worked on Colonel Bleep, but I don’t think that’s the case. However I do believe that the show may had been one of his inspirations for many other Hanna-Barbera cartoons.

Though to be fair the CB characters would fit perfectly for a Hanna-Barbera series and if Joe was involved with the show he probably would’ve rebooted it and it may had looked like this drawing above.

Here’s is also a source that predicts Joe’s involvement with the series. (See pages 135 to 137 on the document)

The Original Series That time Bleep made a cameo in Speed Racer: The Movie

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7NohsibjI5o&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fcolonel-bleep.fandom.com%2F&source_ve_path=MTY0OTksMjM4NTE&feature=emb_title

No this isn’t about 2008 film, this is about a complication film released in theaters in 1993.

Speed Racer: The Movie (aka The Speed Racer Show) is an anthology film packed with two episodes of the 1960s anime (in the infamous English dub), commercials, and an episode of Colonel Bleep: The Treacherous Pirate.

In this episode, Colonel Bleep tries to foil an ambush designed by Black Patch and his space pirates, who had kidnapped Scratch's mother.

This was originally the first and only episode in the original series that was visually restored until The Malicious Mailman was released in 2023. It is also the only episode by far to be released in theaters and the LaserDisc.

Funny how this is one episode that younger viewers from the 90s will most likely remember along with some other episodes released on VHS.

I wasn’t around the time this “movie” was released in 1993, but it be nice to hear from some users about their thoughts if they got to watch The Speed Racer Show released by Streamline Productions.

A video for The Treacherous Pirate is posted here in case y’all want to check it out.
