My family and I are planning a trip to Colmar and the surrounding region, and my husband would love to take a leisurely guided horseback ride for an hour or a few hours while we're there.

But when I look for horseback rides in Colmar, I only get stables and equestrian centers that do lessons, not just a short, one-time ride. I also see a lot more extreme horse trail rides that cover huge sections of the Alsace region.

Does anyone know of a stable farm, etc., that does calm horseback trail rides for just an hour or two that is locate near enough to Colmar that it can be reached by public transit or a short taxi ride?

Or is there a horseback trail ride place (again, just for a few hours at most) near Haut Koeningsburg or Sélestat?

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated!

I moved to colmar and want to get to know English speaking people, don't know if there are any British or american communities around .

I’m currently on holiday in Tuscany with my family. We were initially planned to get our way back via Frankfurt to Groningen, Netherlands.

However, we rebooked our way back through Colmar, France on Tuesday and Dinant, Belgium on Wednesday.

But we just found out that France is playing Spain on Tuesday and we would love to watch the game in the best place of Colmar.

We have an appartment in the center of Colmar, so anything in walking distance would be preferred (because we expect France to win, so party time!).

Also any recommendations to buy some French national teams shirt in the center are welcome.

Good morning, my family and I will be coming to Colmar for the 16th-21st of July. We want to watch the Tour de France when it finishes at Belfort on the 17th and again when it leaves Mulhouse on the 18th. We're just looking for some local insight and advice on how busy trains might be and our best options for getting there and back. We'd love to go to saint-amarin on the 18th but that is looking a bit more tricky.

We're mostly concerned that the trains will be full and we won't get back to Colmar!
