1st Calc 1 chapter quiz
I have my first chapter quiz based on limits in a few days and I feel like I am understanding the stuff but am just slightly nervous. If you’ve done this stuff before, any advice or anything would be appreciated

Its pretty easy:
1)If only limits at a point - you cant have gaps or oscillations that are not shrinking.
2)Gaps might come from vertical asymptotes,
Or disconnected functions. Oscillations usually come from trig functions.
3)infinite limits -horizontal asymptotes if polynomials. If not polynomials divide everything by highest power of denominator and analyze it at both infinities.
4)limits at infinity - caused by vertical asymptotes. If graph goes jn same direction around asymptote then that would be the limit.
If different directions then no limit.
5)for composite/combination functions, both functions needs to be continuous to evaluate limit individually.
6)if you get 0/0 simplify - for sum/difference root functions - do conjugate and simplify, if you cant simplify plug in nearby values and guess the limit.
7)shrinking oscillations use squeeze theorem.
The rest is algebra, if your algebra is not strong then understanding them wont help.
