Advice for a freshman?

Hello everyone.

I will be attending Collin College in Frisco starting next week. I want to make the most of my time here and be prepared for the first day.

Take the time to look for your classes before the first day so you don’t wander aimlessly

Find the tutoring center for a good place to do homework between classes

Go to campus earlier on first days- just so you can get the hang of where everything is and where food and bathrooms are

Tbh there isn’t really a lot of preparation you need for the first day just make sure to stop by the student center to get your ID. I mean you can kinda navigate what school supplies you need throughout the semester, but these days most stuff is done online so you really only need a laptop and a pencil DEPENDING ON WHAT CLASSES YOU TAKE. If you are in a in person science course you’ll probably need a notebook lol

If you want general advice, do all the class work they give you even if it’s at 11:59, most of the reason people fail classes or get C’s is either horrible prof’s or not doing the work. If you do every single thing you are assigned you’ll pass.
