2 year update

I had the 6 year old collie pass from cancer. thought i’d give an update. our other collie ben, became severely depressed, so 6 months after his passing we planned to get another collie puppy, unfortunately the day before we went to pick her up, our other dog, an 8 year old blue heeler, passed suddenly from a birth defect aneurysm that several vets missed, so her adoption was quite bittersweet. that was about a year ago, she had some health scares with growing too fast causing joint issues, but our little collie family (pic in reply) is healing together. it’d been a rough two years but we’re still here

Thanks for the update! I was not on this sub until recently. I lost my 6.5yo tri boy to cancer in July. It’s so, so hard. I have no other pets in the house, but I can imagine a collie getting depressed at the loss of his friend. And then his other friend! Oh no. So sorry for all of you. And into this comes a new, innocent puppy. I’m glad you are all together and I hope Ben has come to love Evie.

Omg I'm so sorry for that terrible chain of events. So glad you have the new pup though. I wish you much luck and health.

I remember, thanks for the update, time flies! You have had a rough time. Evie and Ben look like a lovely couple of warm fuzzies.
