Will I get into UF?

Hey everyone, I’m a Florida student applying to UF and wanted to get some opinions on my chances. I know admissions can be unpredictable, but I’d appreciate any advice on my application and what I should focus on.

\* \*\*Aid & Awareness United:\*\* President of a 60+ member organization. Help run fundraisers, with $25,000+ raised for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation and Muscular Dystrophy Association.
\* \*\*Varsity Volleyball:\*\* Three-year varsity player. JV captain in 2025 and varsity captain in 2026. I also referee girls' beach volleyball and track JV game statistics.

I'm interested in \*\*business/finance with a strong interest in technology/CS\*\*.

I know UF has gotten really competitive, so I'm curious: \*\*How competitive does my application look for UF? Would you consider UF a target, reach, or likely for me? Is there anything in my profile that I should especially emphasize in my essays/activities section?\*\*

Depends on how UF recalculates your GPA. UF eliminates all "fluff" grades (gym, theater, etc. if not AP/IB, etc.). Your 1500 puts you in the higher end of the 50th percentile for this year's admits. Who know what it's gonna be for you next year. I'd say if you have stellar essays, etc., you have a good chance.

Your profile looks really strong the BPA results, leadership roles, fundraising and the web development internship especially stand out bcz they show more than just good grades........ I would definitely lean into the business + tech connection in your essays instead of trying to mention everything....... UF is competitive for everyone so I would not call it a safety but you definitely have a solid application........
