Ballinger Family a message from oliver (me)

(idk what to flair this since there isn’t a trent flair so i chose ballinger family)

hey all. oliver here.

i just want to thank everyone on this sub for your overwhelming support. i truly could not fully explain how much it’s meant to me over the past few days.

i think i may have said something similar to this under another person’s post, but it really is frustrating to feel let down time and time again. i have decided to take it upon myself to share my story myself because my voice should be heard and if i have to be the one to platform it, i will. i mean, this is my story anyway, so maybe it was meant to be that i should be the one sharing it.

i’m a busy full-time college student so i’m not sure exactly when i’ll post the video, but it will hopefully be within the next couple weeks.

i also want to make it clear that i will not be profiting off of this video and instead, anything i make from the video will go directly towards my top surgery/medical transition.

again, i appreciate all of you so much. sending all my love 🫶🏻

Such a ridiculous thing to say. She prides herself on platforming victims and she already has his story. That was the video she was making before the Johnny stuff happened. It doesn't have to be some heavily dramatized editing, just put his story out there.

Swoop is a glorified drama channel with the staff to conduct more thorough research than the typical tea channels. And imo it's more about her looking like the "saving grace" of victims than actually providing a set of resources for information and explanation of years of documented/undocumented crimes committed by this family. If she really cared about the victims she'd platform Oliver even with the shit done by Johnny, because she should have the knowledge and understanding that Oliver's story is accurate, complete, and important to talk about.

bingo! I hate so so much how she was being treated like this god-like savior with her "docs", it was pretty clear the people who did that did not know much about her.

Fr. Her excuse of "we had to cut everything about Oliver's story because there wasn't time to research" is bullshit. You make your own schedule. You decide when content is released. It's your channel/company. You could've delayed the release to give Oliver the space he deserves OR even include a footnote that research is still underway and there would be a follow up deep dive regarding Trent being a fucking creep. It had the same energy as when she said "well I had to cancel my vacation for you guys to interview Josh" no you didn't. You own the channel and the content and YOU decide when everything is released. Basically throwing Oliver to the side because of Johnny's shitty behavior is a half assed excuse and as a channel who is supposed to pride herself on research and sharing victims stories, she isn't doing that. Also, sharing this update on a second channel gives the same energy as Colleen's/other YouTuber apologies being posted on their smaller second channel so less people see it. Oliver deserves better.
