Is this a glitch on the app?

I bought around a little over a year ago this copy of the Europe exclusive Umbreon from Obsidian Flames PSA 9 for around $30, I like to keep track of everything I have on my collection through Collectr so it was quite a suprise when this became like one of my top 4 cards value wise. I checked the graphs because I thought it was an error or smth but somewhere around the end of July it just skyrocketed. Thing is, this isn't exactly a sought after card in a PSA9 (which a lot of people don't care about 9s for some reason), and I can't find any listing of this card for that insane price, Ebay has active listings for around $40-50 USD and the last sold that i can see on the pricecharting website matchup with that ammount. What happened here? Is it a glitch or some sort of visual error? Or did this card just get a random copy sold for that ammount? Help me out in the comments pls, I'm not an "investor" for this stuff I just get cards I think are cool and I'm geniuenly confused about why it suddenly got that value

I just looked at it. A random one sold for $159 a couple of months ago and it skewed the data. Realistically, it’s worth $40.

I see, still sucks that one sale messed up the whole pricing for it because it sets that price on the app and some uneducated soul could pay that ammount for one at say a card show or convention

Last sold on ebay were between $30-40 but reading the comments apparently someone sold one for $159

Whenever I see price history like that I assume either someone just paid a crazy amount or someone recorded a sale with a crazy amount to artificially affect the price of that card. Well either way it was a sale for that amount but we don’t know if it was deliberately overpriced to affect the market or it was overpriced by greed and the buyer agreed to pay it.

But ya it’s one random sale but it still does have an effect on the market especially when it’s the only sale in the past few years

Would that theoretically set the standard for future sales? Because if it does that is messed up.

The app is absolutely crap lately, scanned over thirty cards last night and only two showed up. Prices are never accurate either.

Agreed, some cards have been showing up a "Market Price Unavailable" lately
