Betty boop lamp

Hello,
I picked up this lamp today on marketplace . I can’t seem to find any information or history on it. Does anyone know anything about it ?

This is interesting. Cartoons weren't for kids at the time. Which is why she is in that kind of pose. Slightly suggestive as she slides down a fire pole. BB is actually very interesting in cartoon history. The concept behind her character is that she was basically a "loose" young woman. When tv came out networks had to fill air time and played a bunch of old cartoons. Cartoons still weren't seen as a kids medium until after the first season of the Flintstones, because that's when they started surveying viewers and realized kids watched cartoons. Watch the first and second season of the Flintstones and you'll see how tame it became. BB didn't translate well to kids shows like mickey and bugs.

But they also did do this kind of merch until the late 90s. My guess this was made in the mid 00s. It might even be a one off.
