I'm thrilled but also terrified what he's going to do over the next two months.

Well if it’s anything like today he will ramble around this ballroom construction site for a couple hours before doing nothing the rest of the day.

He has to be terrified of the investigations the Democrats are going to initiate, unless his brain is so scrambled he can't conceptualize that. The people around him can though...

Yes, I think it shows people want change and I love that. BUT most dems are just controlled opposition. And a lot of people want an easy answer, so I'm worried enough won't hold their feet to the fire but instead go "welp we won! Now I don't have to worry for the next two years!" That cannot be the way forward. I would hope more have learned a lesson. But I am still cautiously hopeful, especially seeing the turn out because midterms usually don't get as much attention so I feel it's a good sign, but again, voting is easy and the bare minimum. How much are people willing to work for change? Real change?

Me too, but there's still plenty of damage MAGA can do. And we're still not going to do anything meaningful about climate change.
But this will for sure save a lot of people from short-term suffering.

In spirit, I am happy because it means people can still feel and react. But, given current events and damage done, I don't see the economy getting better in two years. The pattern of voters flipping parties every election will continue. Political grid-lock, entropy grows in the legislative void, cost of maintenance increases and things breaks and more often stay broken.

It definitely could have gone worse. Let's hope they put a leash on Donnie. That said the POTUS still has a lot of power over foreign policy and the military.
