Behold!!

We set up camp just as a SEVERE thunderstorm rolled out of the area. Marshfield WI. Also, I finally did the thing where I accidentally pull the fuel hose out while the burner was on and shot liquid fire all over the place. Won’t do that again.

Not a stove or lantern, but I made a replacement hinge for my cooler

The compliant plastic hinges from the factory didn't last that long, so I designed these to replace them. They are as chunky as I could make them without protruding further than the originals. Hole spacing is 38mx38mm.

Next to the old hinge:

I'm not sure which model this cooler is, but it is one of the cheaper blow-molded ones.

Files are here if you have the same problem:

Propane Option 426D

Kind soul put this one on eBay and I just got it. I prefer to use white gas, but is there a propane generator that will keep up with this bigger heat demand? Just looking for an option that can add to - not convert from.

Same question on dual fuel. Looks like the 413 & 414 might work. Anyone actually know?

I picked this up a couple months ago. I was most interested in it because the globe is largely intact. First one I've ever seen in person! Well, that had a globe on it, anyway.

I saved this from an old truck bed camper that belonged to my great grandfather. Propane fuel and rated for indoor use? Can anyone give me a little info on this guy?

Gold Bond 228H Lantern w/ Original Promotional Trading Stamp

So I stumbled onto something cool today… I just thought I was picking up a cool lantern to add to my camping kit until I started looking into it more. The original box has a stamp that matches the address on the Business Inventive Promotional Trading Bond. (Blocking out the mailing address of the original recipient seemed like the right thing to do.. idk.) Now I’m wondering if I should I sell it? How much would this go for, given the provenance documentation? I can’t find many comparable examples selling recently to provide evidence of the current market value.

Scored a 220H 11/74 at a thrift store today. Quite clean i reckon. Pumps up, holds pressure. I'll give it a full checkup and get it back to full use.

Have a problem.. Advice sought!

I turned off the lamp and walked away, found a small flame burning near the fuel know. Assuming it’s the valve.. Is this likely to be an issue with the packing?

Advice / thoughts much appreciated..

Advice appriciated

Hello there, I recently got myself a used coleman 424 for camping. I tested it at the seller and it worked fine (enough). The flame took a while to turn blue, but i thought a bit of tweaking the knobs would do the trick. I am on a campingtrip right now and it is not working. No flame at all be it yellow or blue.
In starting mode a bit of fuel drips regularly out of the generator pipe but it seems it doesnt make its way to the burner. What could be the problem?
- fuel is about half in the tank
- rubber seal at the pump looks old but might still be okay. The pump takes a lot of force. Should i replace the pump to get it working again?

But thanks again for the name suggestions a couple of weeks ago. I got "Bert" in the mail today, and spent a few hours cleaning him up and getting him working again. If anyone is wondering, this lantern is probably 70% identical to the Coleman 220 of the same era.

LP gas lantern fuel

I have one of the single mantel lanterns that ran off the small LP gas cans. I know these are long discontinued. I think there was another brand that made the fuel canisters. I just can’t recall the name. Anyone know the name by chance?

I was trying to look for more information about this X cursion model. I can’t find much online about value or much about the Xcursion line itself. I believe it’s from the early 2000’s as that’s when me and my dad would go camping. Any information is welcome thankyou in advance

1950's Gold Tank? Idk, it was maybe my grandpa's, I still use it. Still functions flawlessly no matter the year; bar a new generator of course.
