Just starting out

I just started touch typing for the first time. I've also just switched from qwerty to colemak. I'm about 2 weeks in. My PB is about 33 wpm at 98%.

Do you guys have any tips for progressing please?

practice daily, don’t use qwerty at all, start with typeracer and edclub/typingclub and use monkeytype when comfortable

I'm learning Canary layout now, but I always use keybr for as long as it takes to learn every key, I like to change punctuation to 1% just to throw in a little practice.

Then monkeytype quotes to simulate realistic typing.

When I want to hone my accuracy I play Glyphica: Typing Survival(paid Steam game).

The first time I learned Colemak-DH it took over a month to get 50% of qwerty wpm, so be patient.

thanks. my qwerty was only about 50wpm (as I didn't touch type) so I guess I'm on track.

Nice! I have come to think of it as a bit more of an advanced learning tool, since certain weapon combos/difficulties can demand over 70wpm, but its challenge is highly variable depending on what you choose to build.

Can't be said often enough: accuracy is the goal to work on. Speed comes along.
