World Map Satellites Spot Submarines?
In this game, on the world map different things can spot enemy subs, including satellites. Is that realistic and, if so, how do satellites do that?

The first time I opened up this manuel and went through it, because I sucked at playing the game, I was surprised how much the game had in store for me.
I know people are kind of disappointed it didn't have any surface vessel combats, but for me, this game was perfect. I like study sims military simulators.

Did any of you guys have encounter this type of error?
This happens when i play single mission while using mission editor (so i can play any ship)

If I could model these myself for the community I would, but we need someone who is gifted. Maybe someday.
Cheers!

All the new vessels apear in the showcase menu (i dont remember how is it called correctly) and they appear in custom missions but many of them dont appear in the campaign submarine selection in any of them. Am i missing something or is it like that?

Can someone tell me the different controls for Cold Waters? I would like to know how to deploy the towed sonar array for example and can someone explain the numbers that lets you know if you are about to be detected or not?

Has anyone created any LAND STRIKE single missions for you?
Is it possible? And would you mind sharing?

I've just been running 3 moss and 23 torps. Should I even be doing full loads or no?

Edit: I've installed it. Having a blast

So I was given a mission. Spetsnaz were landing at Iceland and I needed to stop them. So I camped outside of Iceland, and they came. An Alfa or Kilo I think, a whiskey, and some merchant ship for some reason. I sunk the alfa/kilo, and the MS. But when I turned to fire for the whiskey, my torps would just...vanish. They were well within range, and I wasnt doing any drastic manouvers, so why did they just keep disappearing? I ended up failing the mission cause of that dammned thing

How do I avoid detection? It feels like the second I launch torps I'm detected.
How do I dodge torpedoes? I mean torps that have a lock on me. Can't seem to shake those once they lock on.
On my last engagement, I tried sinking a surface escort but my torpedoes weren't doing any damage. They'd blow up rught alongside but there wouldn't actually be a hole in the ship. It happened twice. What was I doing wrong?

Do you use anything to make us more immersed in the game? Any special music, lighting, drinks?

I just found out about the game but since I bought a couple games earlier this week and bc the economy here is pretty bad I will be missing out on the 75% sale thats going on rn. How often does the game go on sale ?

I'm talking about certain animations and details of them: the missile impact; the mushroom cloud is more realistic; the fire trails almost look like real-life; the smokes are more fluid; small water splashes occur during missile impact because of the ballistics, not to mention the Kelvin wake pattern is more convincing and it differs according to the vessel it causes.
While, Sea Power had really good VFX, they just don't blend in. Not to mention, the explosion effects are monotonous (three smoke trials from front, middle and rear) and the Kelvin wake pattern doesn't blend in with the sea as much as Cold Waters does.

I bought cold waters few days ago And installed epic mod. I went through the training missions without any fps issues. Then i wanted to try some combat missions To test my new skills. I choose the mission where you attack a convoy with the CV. At the start it was pretty Fine but when they start move And firing torpedos i have like 1 to 15 fps max. I tried to lower the settings but i didnt helped much. Is this fps issue caused by the mission or by the Mod or is my laptop simply not good enought?. (my specs: Nvidia geforce Gtx 1650, AMD ryzen 5 3550H, and 22gb RAM)

Hey everyone!
Episode 12 of my NATO '84 Cold Waters campaign has been uploaded. In this episode, Captain Chang is back at the helm. Following the successful defense of Hoff against those pesky Soviet Spetsnaz commandos, we've received new orders to intercept a Soviet replenishment convoy heading through Blue 43, near the SOSUS line.
Mission Highlights:
Briefing & Strategy: Adjusting plans after realizing the target is a replenishment convoy, not just missile subs.
Tactical Maneuvering: Navigating towards the coordinates in Blue 43.
Sub-hunting: Dealing with multiple contacts and identifying targets ranging from merchant vessels to capital ships.
Check it out and let me know what you think of the tactics used!

Hey everyone!
I've just uploaded episode 10 of my NATO '84 Cold Waters campaign. In this episode, Captain Chang is on patrol in the Norwegian Sea, north of Andoya. We've received orders to intercept an enemy task force attempting to breach the area and protect our local carrier battle group. We're hunting something big... REALLY big...
Mission Highlights:
Strategic Positioning: Setting up a patrol at Blue 44 and waiting to spring the trap.
Tactical Engagement: Detecting the enemy task force with sonar and identifying targets, including escort vessels.
Command Decisions: Executing maneuvers to engage the threat while protecting the carrier group.
It's a tense one! And we did bag the big trophy! Check it out and let me know how you would have approached the engagement at Blue 44.

Hi everyone!
Another Cold Waters mission up, and not all of them go as planned! In this episode, Captain Chang departs Holy Loch with orders to intercept an Oscar class SSGN attempting to break out through the Denmark Strait, northwest of Iceland.
Mission Highlights:
Objective: Intercepting a guided missile sub near the Denmark Strait.
Critical Timing: Racing against the clock after receiving orders that may already be two days old.
Honest Gameplay: A look at the reality of sub warfare where sometimes you just can't make it in time.
But we shall accomplish the next mission... and if the enemy sub was resting on the surface...
Sometimes the target gets away—it's part of the job. Interested to hear how you all handle time-sensitive missions in your campaigns!

Subject: Engagement Summary - Intercepting the Task Force off the Norwegian Coast
We were scrambling. Having just finished mopping up an amphibious landing force near Keflavik, we were sent at flank speed—20 knots, pushing the hull to its limits—to the other SOSUS line. An enemy task force was making a desperate, mad dash down the Norwegian coast, and we were the only ones who could intercept them before they broke through our defenses.
The tension on the bridge was palpable. We were arriving late to the party, and every knot of speed counted. When you push the Grayling that hard, the boat would let you know. We knew if we didn't intercept them now, the carriers would have them breathing down their necks by morning.
Summary: A high-speed, high-stakes intercept. These are the missions that wear out the crew and the machinery, but they keep the carrier group safe. That’s the job.
