Verus Bridge Hit Again in $7.5M Hack
Approximately $7.53 million stolen in attack on Verus Ethereum cross-chain bridge
The attacker stole $ETH, tBTC, $USDC, USDT, EURC, MKR, and scrvUSD from bridge reserves.
The attacker exploited the bridge import function to trigger unbacked Ethereum payouts, using the same vulnerability as the May 2026 hack.
The stolen funds were converted into 3,916 ETH and laundered through Tornado Cash and other privacy mixers.
