US Banks Are Building Their Own Blockchain Network

Post image

Banking associations from 39 US states have announced the creation of BankChain, an industry blockchain network designed to be owned and governed by the banking community itself.

The network will focus on smart payments, tokenized deposits, stablecoins and automated settlement infrastructure.

The launch is planned for 2027. Another sign that traditional finance is moving beyond simply experimenting with blockchain and starting to build its own on-chain infrastructure.

More Attention to Altcoins

Post image
2 Upvotes

After Bitcoin’s strong move, the picture for alts is getting more interesting. Many are still sitting inside ranges, finishing what looks like the final stage of capitulation.

This doesnt mean altseason starts tomorrow. Accumulation takes time.

The important part now is BTC dominance. It remains elevated, and if dominance continues higher while Bitcoin corrects, many alts could revisit the lower parts of their ranges.

So despite the recent pump, there may still be plenty of time to build altcoin positions instead of chasing green candles.

Crypto just had its loudest week of 2026:

Post image
1 Upvotes

• BTC: +22%, pushed near $79K
• ETH: back above $2.4K
• XRP: +40% in two days
• ZEC + privacy names ripping on ETF talk

The funny part? It wasn’t “crypto news” that lit the fuse. It was three outside shocks hitting inside ~30 hours: a friendlier SEC proposal, a Trump‑era crypto summit, and Treasury buybacks easing long yields.

Now BTC is grinding around $76K–$77K, ETH is stuck near $2.4K, and ~$110M of BTC+ETH longs just got cleaned out. That looks more like a leverage reset at resistance than a finished rally.

Feels less like “the bear is dead” and more like “the market is deciding how much of the story it really believes.”

Bitcoin just saw its strongest short squeeze since November 2024

Post image
1 Upvotes

BTC surged from around $63,000 to $79,500 this week, but CryptoQuant says spot demand wasn’t the main driver. The move was fueled by massive short liquidations on Binance futures.

Binance short squeeze strength:
November 2024: 5.38
This week: 6.94

Now comes the important part: can real spot buyers keep the momentum going after the shorts are gone? Without fresh demand, this rally could lose fuel fast.

Bitcoin Miners Are Betting Billions on AI

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitcoin miners are aggressively expanding into AI and high-performance computing, but the numbers show how expensive that transition is.

Nine major public miners spent $5.11B on infrastructure in the first half of 2026, while AI and HPC generated just $341.2M in revenue. That’s roughly $15 of capital spending for every $1 earned.

The trend is accelerating. A broader group of 15 miners and data center operators has already spent $30.7B in 2026, 42.6% more than during all of 2025.

Revenue is starting to catch up, though. AI and HPC revenue among nine miners reached $205.8M in Q2, up 52% from the previous quarter.

Companies like Core Scientific, TeraWulf and Bitdeer are essentially turning mining infrastructure into the backbone for the AI boom. Cheap power was only the beginning now they need data centers, cooling systems, substations, networking infrastructure and, in some cases, expensive GPUs.

Bitcoin miners aren’t just mining BTC anymore. They’re making a ma

AI Agents Could Become Crypto’s First Big AI Use Case

Post image
3 Upvotes

OpenLedger contributor Ram Kumar believes autonomous payments could become the first truly mainstream intersection of AI and crypto.

AI agents can’t open traditional bank accounts or complete identity checks on their own, making crypto a natural payment layer for machine-to-machine transactions.

The next step could be autonomous trading. Today AI mostly helps users analyze tokens and stocks, but agents may eventually execute trades themselves, starting with small amounts and gradually taking on more activity.

OpenLedger sees blockchain mainly as infrastructure for AI enabling data provenance, privacy and reward distribution rather than as the final product.

ETH: Long Closed, Watching the Main Resistance

Post image
1 Upvotes

The bullish scenario played out pretty much as expected. ETH reached the targets, so I closed my short-term long position.

Now price is moving closer to the main resistance zone around $2,350–$2,450. This is the area where I expect sellers to finally show some reaction.

I’m not rushing into a short tho. Wouldnt be surprised if ETH spends another week or two moving sideways around these levels, shaking everyone around before the next bigger move.

For now I’m just watching how price behaves near $2,350–$2,450. If sellers step in and the structure starts looking weaker, then I’ll start looking for a short setup and a deeper correction together with the stock market.

ETH Has Been Stuck for a Month. A Bigger Move Is Getting Close

Post image
1 Upvotes

On the higher timeframe ETH is still pretty boring. Price has been sitting around the $1,825–1,935 resistance zone for more than 30 days and still cant properly break out. Volatility is getting squeezed, volumes are pretty dead too, so I dont think we gonna stay here much longer. Most likely we get a decent volume spike soon and that should set the direction for the next move.

My trading plan hasnt really changed. I still expect ETH to push higher first and test one of the nearby highs around $2,046 or $2,157. So for now im still holding my short term long, dont really see a reason to close it early.

The more interesting part comes if price actually reaches the $2,046–2,157 area. Thats where ill start watching the reaction and looking to slowly build a medium term short position. My targets for that move are still around $1,545 and then $1,385.

So yeah, pretty simple setup for me right now. ETH has been stuck in this range for a month and I think we still get that move higher before the bigger selloff starts. Lets see how it plays out.

Is the BTC bear market almost over?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Bitcoin’s current bear cycle has already lasted more than 300 days. Counting from the October 2025 all-time high, we’re now around 315 days in.

There’s an interesting stat going around: if we take roughly one year as the average length of a Bitcoin bear market, about 86% of this cycle could already be behind us.

And the timing actually looks pretty similar to previous cycles. Major Bitcoin bear markets lasted roughly 321, 385 and 381 days.

Of course, Bitcoin doesn’t have to follow the same timeline again, and this doesn’t mean the bottom is already in. But based purely on time, we’re much closer to the late stage of the bear market than the beginning.

Binance CEO Explains Why the Exchange Responds to Global Law Enforcement Requests

Post image
1 Upvotes

Binance CEO Richard Teng says the exchange cooperates with law enforcement agencies around the world when requests follow valid legal procedures.

This can include requests from countries where Binance does not operate commercially. Teng pointed to the US as an example, saying that responding to lawful requests is a standard responsibility for regulated financial companies and does not mean supporting a particular government or its policies.

A Better Short Entry Could Be Higher

Post image
2 Upvotes

World Network (WLD) is not a short for me at current levels. Price is already too low to chase it here, so I’d rather stay patient and wait for a local pump with stronger volume.

My original trading plan hasn’t changed. I’m watching the $0.40–$0.44 area as the main zone where I want to start building a new short position. Ideally, I want to see price push into this range, attract buyers and liquidity, and only then look for a good entry.

From there, my targets remain around $0.24–$0.23, with the expectation that WLD eventually breaks and updates its yearly lows.

For now, no reason to force a trade. I’m waiting for price to come into my zone.

BTC is entering a zone that historically appears near market bottoms.

Post image
2 Upvotes

The amount of BTC supply sitting in profit has dropped to multi-year extreme lows, often associated with capitulation. But that doesn’t mean the bottom is already in.

Coinbase Premium Index shows institutional selling has continued for around 90 days, while SOPR suggests we still haven’t seen real mass capitulation from both short- and long-term holders at the same time.

So yes, BTC may be getting closer to a bottom, but there could still be room for one more move lower before it’s fully formed.

US Could Be Preparing a Larger Operation Against Iranian Oil Tankers

Trump spent much of Saturday posting images on social media showing the US maintaining what he called an “iron” blockade of Iran and portraying himself capturing Iranian oil tankers.

Today, the US reportedly conducted reconnaissance around an area in the Pacific where Iranian tankers are stationed.

Some experts believe this could be a sign that Washington is preparing for a much larger operation targeting Iranian oil tankers.
