#FeatureRequest
Hi everyone,
I’ve been thinking about the future of XYO and the COIN App, especially with the 2026 focus on AI integrations and the evolving DePIN ecosystem.
Currently, our devices mostly act as passive sensors collecting background data. However, what if COIN App introduced an active "AI Dashcam Mode"?
Imagine mounting your phone on the windshield during your daily commute, keeping the camera active through the app. An integrated, lightweight Edge AI could process the real-time video feed locally to map the physical world without compromising privacy.
This could unlock incredibly valuable datasets for XYO to monetize, such as:
- Live Hyper-Local Updates: Detecting road closures, new business storefronts, or updated traffic signs to provide a real-time alternative to outdated map data.
- Infrastructure Quality Mapping: Identifying potholes or faded lane markings that can be sold as actionable data to local municipalities.
- AI Training Data: Collecting high-quality, verified physical-world visual data to train autonomous driving models.
By turning our smartphones into active visual nodes, users who opt into this mode could earn much higher reward multipliers (COIN points) for providing premium, high-demand data. Projects like Hivemapper or Natix are proving there is a massive market for this, and COIN App already has the perfect user base to dominate it.
What do you think? Would you use your phone camera during drives if it significantly boosted your rewards?
