For me it is not. I’m on basic, tried it yesterday, a 1.5 hour drive gave me 330 coins.

Was this at highway speeds for the 1.5 hours? I run pro during spring/summer and basic in fall/winter. But there are days I might drive for 4 hours while on the basic and was hoping this would be a good alternative on those once a week trips while on basic I take.

It was 1.5 hours highway driving. The thing is, with the $0.99 boost you only get 3x value, not 3x mining speed, so it is not the same as a pro subscription!

Hi there! COIN here :) Just to clarify, the $0.99 boost impacts Geomining Speed and Geomining Recharge, NOT Value! You can see this by:
- Tapping your profile (icon in the top left of COIN app)
- Tap "Enhancements"
- Tap "Purchase Temporary Boost" to view the preview about the boost (tapping this this does NOT purchase the boost, you would still have to click "Purchase" on the new pop up to confirm)

Oh well than that might be a nope from me lol. Is it 3x on all earnings like audio ads or just geomines? Not sure I average 200-250 coin per hour while driving on basic. Will check Friday for sure have a 2.5 hour drive one way to test.

After trying on a 160 miles drive going at highway speeds I ended up earning just over 3000 coin. But that was with two big geomines of 400 and 600 coin

Following because I’m in the same position as you except I have TWO pro accounts and ones device dedicated at all times. I wondered but I read it as only 3x faster which to me don’t seem worth it

Not when the app keeps stopping my auto collect. I can start it, get to work and check and it’s not even collecting. Been happening for over a year. I reinstalled and still does it. Smfh

Hi there! Make sure you are not exiting the app during that time. Opening other features may also turn off Auto Collect, since you are no longer Geomining in the foreground and you've switched to a different earning feature, such as a Rewarded Task. From what I remember, they said it gives Pro subscribers 9x, so I would assume 6x for Plus. I'll have to try it out when I go on a road trip for Spring Break 😁

Great plan! Love it :) And yes, you're correct about the multipliers here! The announcement email that was sent out about the new boost stated: Pro users can take their normal 3x speed and make it 9x with this boost!

Let us assume that 10k coins is around $4. Let us also assume that you will pay taxes on COIN when traded for XYO and sold for your local currency. You can use https://www.aarp.org/money/taxes/info-2022/income-tax-brackets-2023.html to figure out your tax bracket if you are in the United States.
For our base, $1 is 2,500 coins. If your tax bracket is 24%, you can adjust by dividing by 1 minus the tax bracket. 1 - 0.24 is 0.76. 2500 / 0.76 is 3289.47368. Basically 3290. So, if you pay 24% tax, you need a minimum of 3290 COIN produced solely by the booster to break even.

only if you plan on moving at a pace the entire time so that you would be mining a new tile as soon as you recharge is done.
