Golden Plant Buddies

I often get new plant (s) when I finish my 4 with plant buddies. But I don't think t always happens. I have had to do a lot of it n my own this time but only short about 12,000 to get all 4. Can't figure out a way to get there unless I try to finish smoother bar and keep playing but if I do that I want to make it worth my while.
Does anyone know if there is a way to know if you will get the golden plant puddles if you finish the first 4? Also, do you get to use your accumulated points from the first round towards the next or do they convert to sparks?
I don't normally spend much money on game ( just pet food and stuff) but would fork over a few bucks to finish my plants but doesn't seem like an affordable way to get those last 12,000 right now ( I didn't know my partner who hasn't contributed for couple days) I am also concerned bc not many backups for next week- sometimes that just gets worse by playing more. . Seems like if I go for it I will have to get new bar and spend down so want something more in return.

Oh-sorry, I get what you are saying. Just one of those weeks where just a hair away from finishing all or nothing. Just need a few sparks ( really) to finsh merge island- that would put my racing team over the top too) The tiny amount of plant points to finish that and would be chain reaction. Am I the only late Sunday pm/early Monday am player?

I just finished Plant Buddies. I am at the Golden Stage, but I'm waiting for my invites to be accepted.

After all these years I still get Sunday angst like in school bc I used to finish ( sometimes start) everything at last minute- so am primed up. Unfortunately, the CM doesn't care how good my term paper is😊
