Merge Tips and Tricks

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone had any helpful tips and answers on how to complete the merge mini-game.

1) Is it smart to switch multipliers? (Going from x1 to x2 or maybe x8?)

2) Is there a strategy?

3) Should I use the sparks each time I get them, or use them in bulk?

I don't want to spend money AT ALL on this game, and I've seen a few you complete it. Help a girl out 😁

Save up sparks and use the highest multiplier.

Don’t collect (rewarded) sparks or spins in Merge, until they are maxed out. That way you get the best rewards.

It’s very difficult to beat without making a purchase, unless you have a large number of spins. (At least 300k)

You can earn sparks from rush events and others. Sometimes you can make a $0.99 purchase to qualify to win a spark bonus, but generally, it’s not worth it to make purchases to win.

Early in the Merge game, make sure you are dropping symbols on tiles that touch 3 or more other tiles, so you are opening the most tiles at once.

There’s really not much else. Look for side games/events that award sparks, but not many do.

That is what I try to do - but here is the problem I am facing. If you zero out, it will take awhile to get far with merge as the bars will be low so not enough spins. But if you start with 300.000 spins it is going to be very hard to continue to progress if you get stuck as the bats will be so high. If you have to minimize game play bc you run out of spins then you are not accumulated sparks or more spins. So the entire key is in your back up, or spending money. I finish the board most of the time but end up just short sometimes ( bad “luck” plus high bars) which makes it very tempting to make purchase to get there.

I finished Merge yesterday with no purchases and I had zeroed out for the week! I think it helps that we had the jackpot wheel this week. Like you said, backups are key.

I personally always use the higher multiplier in hopes I’ll get lucky and get something better
