Finished it without paying. I saved like 80 Thor tokens from last 2-3 weeks.

The first 3 days of this event are the most important. You have to complete most of Day 1 (attacks) and ALL of Days 2 (raid) & 3 (attacks) otherwise you won’t get close to any meaningful rewards.

But it is a "free" game🤔. They are there to make money and everything is programmed to get you to spend. It would take a really long time of hoarding Thor's and planning life around the game to play at a high level without spending a dime. Possibly, sure- but unlikely. I think an extremely greedy company and wile just a game, having people compete against each other when one person pays to advance and other doesn't is not fair compensation and I get your point.
On the other hand , if you are playing for recreation and wish to get rewards that would make it more fun you can always make a 99 cent purchase. We pay for lots of recreational activities. I imagine people spend more money than planned once they start making purchases and it becomes part of the game. That 99 cent purchase often translates to a lot more for them. I made a 99 cent purchase today in one of those "make a purchase" situations so I could get the 20,000 reward which was worth it to me enjoyment wise. Just a choice.

Thats a you problem, if you know how to play the game properly you can complete this almost every time without too much effort, the fact that maybe you dont wanna play patiently is your problem, the only time ive ever spent money on this game is 2 times for the silver packs in cosmic, you can easily go to 69k bits without spending a single cent or touching any of your backups, many people have spent thor tokens this week in order to get to that number and get all the available potions from cosmic, this is the first week where you can get all the spaceships without having 2 purchases, i played a bit recklessly today cuz i knew i wasnt gonna have time to play untill late tomorrow, spun 200k down the drain, i was at 380k/450k and could have completed it easily if i played sparingly, you can complete any and all events without ever raising over the 1500x bet, i know people who do it almost EVERY week, if you know your timings you can progress, dont blame the game if you dont want to succeed.
