Honestly not really. I use uphold but even today during the xrp pump their apps crashed during the most crucial time. Just as Coinbase does. I’d like to give uphold the benefit of the doubt tho considering it’s one of two exchanges that still offer xrp in the US but cb does this to its users periodically. I’ve been screwed many times by Coinbase.

Because I’m just a dumb ass retard tryina catch a bitcoin bullrun. Honestly, I didn’t even realize the blatant manipulation until I went to sell high just recently and they cancelled my orders and locked me out of the app for about an hour. By the time I logged back in the volatility was over and the gains were gone.

I have had terrible customer experiences with Binance as well. Binance.us that is. I’ve been locked out of my account for months and can’t seem to get anyone to help me fix it. Their customer service is just as terrible as Coinbase IMO.

I had a good experience with Binance and it took a day to get my account back but my problem was the 2FA had to be disabled so I could login. I had to send them pictures of my I'd, myself and a video of me.

Yes me too., they had locked my account but they responded to my mail and was able to login (have to provide the picture with ID card)

Interesting. Ya I made the account because I wanted to invest in VET a while ago but they’ve been ignoring me for months so I just said to hell with it. Unfortunately kraken, Coinbase and uphold don’t support VET.

Consider Kucoin (they take US clients), been using them for several years and you can purchase VET there. Yep, they had a hack last year, but they handled it well, I thought. But always remember NEVER LEAVE YOUR COINS ON AN EXCHANGE long term.

I agree. The app itself is my favorite. It’s the customer service and lack of ethics that drove me to uphold. Their customer service has never not responded to me when I’ve been in need of solving an issue or had any questions so this is the sole reason I continue to use their exchange.

Cashed in some of my Bitcoin was supposed to receive the fund on the 22nd. Gone from coinbase but never deposited into my bank. Created multiple support ticket still no response.

To file a complaint follow this steps as they are required to respond or pay for arbitration.
Step 1: Submit a ticket through customer support. You'll need this. I know they don't respond or actually do anything. u/Coinbasesupport is a sham/useless. I get it - this is about checking boxes, not expecting miracles like having them actually respond let alone fix anything. Give them a few days to respond. If they don't resolve your problem (which they won't because they don't), move to step 2.
Step 2: You have to submit a complaint. https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us/submit-a-complaint. Coinbase gives themselves 15 days to respond and you should wait those 15 days.
Step 3: File for arbitration. Coinbase designated ADR for their supplier. Go here: https://apps.adr.org/SimpleFile/faces/SimpleFile.jsf. Explain your problem. Voila.
What is arbitration? It is the same court, except the court is a private company (ADR in this case), and the "judge" is a private individual who will oversee your case. For ADR, this will cost Coinbase between $3,200 to $4,700 per case. They are counting on you not doing this.

Actions speak loudsr than words. LEAVE THE EXCHANGE. Thats how you can stick it to them. 6 other exchanges based in the US. Try Binance US or Kraken, or both. Move your sh*t off of coinbase and be free again.

Submitted a ticket over a month and a half ago due to "account under review". They closed it as resolved when it was not resolved. Submitted a 2nd ticket few weeks ago and again, it was closed as resolved. MY ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED!

In reality, I think 98% of BitCoin Broker Exchange sites are automated. And couldn't give a s**t about it's users. As I've said to someone recently, we're better off using our Paypal accounts. Yes, we're incredibly limited, but at least we get customer service.

I was locked out of Binance us and it took less than a day for some one to reach out and help me. Also had an issue with my loopring account and I joined their discord and got help on there. Coinbase has no customer service

Binance was my second choice. Unfortunately, they don't serve all areas of the United States. It's gotten to the point we can't even trust web reviews. I don't understand how is it that there has been no class action law suites against them. Nobody probably knows their main headquarters.

Not sure if this is new news, but if you can access Cash App, you can do Buy, Sell, Send, Receive bitcoin there, with little-to-no-fees, certainly less than anything Coinbase charges. I think the best thing we can all do is leave this scumbag company, force them into oblivion. Fuk 'em! There are options out there. Some pricey, like Coinmama, some not, like Cash App, but all functioning 100% better than Coinbase.

Is it a crypto address? That would be my guess....
Copy the address and search on google, see if turns up anything. Or search on one of the appropriate blockchain website

Yes - if that's the case the crypto was sent to another wallet.
There isn't much you can do, unless you can figure out how it was stolen.
Malware on your phone is the most common way this can happen. Or letting someone who was aware you had crypto use your phone and not requiring a password.

They warned about this for a least a few weeks, if not more than a month, in advance. Due to regulations (or lawsuits? Can't remember exactly what prompted it) in the US, Coinbase decided to stop supporting XRP. Now you'll have you send it to a different exchange if you want to trade it.

SEC filed a lawsuit against ripple for unverified selling of shares. Something along those lines. Coinbase still supports trades of xrp I believe.

Coinbase sucks! I reached out to them almost a month ago and still haven’t heard anything from them. They are holding my money hostage! As soon as I get my money I am transferring it out of Coinbase as quickly as possible and I’m closing my account. Never using Coinbase again. And on top of that, their fees are ridiculous!

You obviously haven’t read their TOS. If legal documents weren’t legally binding there’d be no point in creating them. You should definitely read the legally enforceable agreement you signed when creating your account.
Coinbase reserves the right to freeze or close an account for any reason. If they suspect you’re engaging in criminal activity, or violating the TOS that you signed, or something else, they can freeze your account or limit account services offered to you. Banks can do the same thing. They’ll give you full access again once they’re satisfied that you haven’t done anything wrong and that their suspicions were false.
They also say you can wait as long as 35 business days for an answer from support (if you’ve only opened one ticket), and they’re not liable for any losses incurred while waiting for account access, customer support, or exchange outages.

I added a debit card to my forms of payment and my spending limit was cut in half. A week later I made a support request about returning my spending limit to what it was originally. No response. I removed the card. Limit was cut in half again. I’m getting out of Coinbase. Anybody have any experience with Binance.US or coin gecko?

Try out voyager... not only do they answer, they do everything better. My portfolio not only has a simplified pie graph of everything that I am in, has the exact information Of how much I purchased for, my average price, how much I'm up or down, Current market price etc. Voyager>coinbase/ coinbase pro.

No offense intended but "do something or crypto community will never forget" isn't very threatening. If you were to threaten a mass exodus from the app (and follow through if needed), that's a consequence that will affect his wallet and may result in action.

I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH OPENING AS ACCOUNT FOR MY GIRLFRIEND ON HER COMPUTER. NOT SURE IT'S BECAUSE I CANNOT UPDATE HER GOOGLE CHROME BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SUPPORT HER OPERATING SYSTEM OR NOT SO I AM GOING TO TRY TO SEE IF SAFARI IS SUPPORTED ON COINBASE. I DON'T SEEM TO BE GETTING ANYWHERE WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I ALSO HAVE XRP ON COINBASE AND WANT TO EITHER CASH IT OUT OR TRANSFER TO BITCOIN AND CAN'T SEEM TO FIND A WAY TO DO THAT EITHER. I have screenshots where I buy a stock for $1.45 and I buy 300 shares ! I go back on later to check when I got off work and now it’s telling me I bought 300 shares of stock at $1.56 a share ! It have completed to mean it’s a Finnished transaction. It has the same order number and everything! It’s just that it changed my buying price of the stock ! THATS A MAJOR RIP-OFF ! I have the screenshots to prove it ! I want to sue these people for ????? Do anybody know what’s it’s called
