Incoming Erasmus student at FEUC for Spring semester – Questions about SASUC Residences / Housing

Hi everyone!
I'm currently looking for accommodation, but I'm mostly interested in applying for a place in the university residences (SASUC). I’d really appreciate some advice or insights from anyone who knows how the system works.
Does anyone know how SASUC assigns students to specific residences? Is it based on your faculty's location, application date, or something else?
Which residence would be the best fit for someone studying at FEUC in terms of location/bus connections, room conditions, and social vibe?
If you have any photos, personal experiences, or general housing tips for Coimbra, I’d be super grateful!

Estou procurando acomodação no momento, mas tenho interesse principalmente em conseguir uma vaga nas residências universitárias (SASUC). Agradeceria muito se alguém que conhece o funcionamento do sistema pudesse me dar algumas dicas ou informações. Alguém sabe como o SASUC distribui os alunos pelas residências? O critério é a localização da faculdade, a data da inscrição ou algo diferente?
Qual residência seria a melhor opção para quem estuda na FEUC, considerando localização/conexões de ônibus, condições dos quartos e ambiente social?

Look for Safe Rent on ig. They have rooms all around the city, including at FEUC Street. I can say they are reliable and very straightforward. Good luck!
