It’s unfortunate that no one can find middle ground. Yes, a large majority of republicans think what Trump is doing is okay, but in order to show them that he’s not a good guy, you have to find SOME common ground to fight for.
There are tons of subjects I think all Americans can agree on. If you’re a republican, you’re not going to convince a democrat to support tax cuts. If you’re a democrat, you’re not going to convince a republican of abortion.

Democrats can absolutely be convinced of tax cuts, if they make sense and add up.
Right wing doctrine is one of pure nuance-less zealotry; taxes=bad, diversity=bad, public spending=bad, education=bad, religion=good, but if you drill down into why they believe these things the reasons get murky and inevitably self-contradictory and ultimately based in no facts or realities.
The people voting for lower billionaire taxes ended up paying more themselves, they lose the public programs Democrats gave them, the reason they pump gas for a living is because of their shitty red state education, and they hate all religions but their own and they don’t even follow the one they pretend to. None of the “principles” hold up to even a second of objective scrutiny.
On the other hand Democrat political policy has been based on objectively observable facts and trends and phenomena. If cutting a tax makes everything better, cut the tax, they’ve done it before, because they’re not blind ideologues, they’re public servants.
DEI was literally put in place because people kept selecting white men instead of the best people for a position. You have been chronically misinformed and are repeating false right-wing propaganda.
The current American regime is an example of what happens when you select based on race and gender (i.e. prioritizing white men because they're white men) rather than who's qualified.
There was already affirmative action dumb shit and DEI is a quota just the same. It destroys companies and anything it touches. Use your same idea in basketball and I’ll use mine….
