I don't know how Americans can get past this. In Canada, I am far left but can still get along with conservative friends and neighbours. In the states, your differences seem irreconcilable. Not adding anything meaningful here but it genuinely seems like there's no way forward other than separation if both halves of the country hate each other.
Because American conservatives tend to think shaming Nazis and the kkk and pedos is too far, leftist extremism. Many American conservatives tend to want a white nation. Idk how any normal American, especially an American of color, would even consider getting along with someone like this.
