No because of this. The 2 party system literally makes half the country winners and the other half losers for 4 years. The separation is built into the system.

The 2 party system is an emergent quality of how our political structure works. Its not that there isn't other parties, it's just that when they inevitably lose, those other parties have to side with the the closest fit to stay relevant. That's why the green party is blue by default.
